Well i sparred a guy twice my size and he broke my nose :( it is only slightly to the right at the top of my nose and due to my commitments with the army i cudnet get it fixed straight away so now i would have to have it rebroke then fixed into place.
Also it happened almost 2 months ago and i stil have a lil black eye from it :( when will it heal?
Has anyone had this done before? Any advice?

yeah ideally u shudve had it reset within a week.

now you will probably have to have full surgery to correct it.

i broke/fractured my nose years ago, its now deviated to one side, i didnt get it fixed, now im very wary of any nose injuries i get, and my nose gets ****ed easily.

smh

well u defo should have had it reset after u broke it but past is past. it really depends on ur personal circumstances (is it affecting ur breathing, does it make u look like a troll, etc) i'd recommend having it set but just so u know, reseting a healed nose hurts ALOT.

does it work out for people most the time? cause my broken nose isnt that much noticable only to me and it can effect my breathing on P.T.
Would they need to break my whole nose? or just hit it back into place because its only slightly to the right at the top of my nose.

I will do it for half the doc quotes ya. A good left hook should do it.

You probably will still have a small lump so it will still look ugly (but not outta place it will blend in with the rest of ya face)

see a doc.

I had my nose bent across my face and put it back into place seconds after.

ok thx guys hopefully its not a big lump because its not a major breakage and the doc told me i would have a small lump so hopefully it stays small :(

i've been popped in the nose with decent amount of power before, and some of the after effects can take a while to get back to normal.

i have also fought people twice my weight - a few times. never had any problems. u just have to be more quick with them and not afraid. i think fighting bigger people really gives a person good confidence. hopefully, not overconfidence.

however, the only damage i had ever had that lasted a long time was a punch which landed on my mouth and hit my tooth causing it to just slighty indent. it is not really anything you can tell by looking at it, but that is the kind of damage a bareknuckle punch can do. and that was with me moving to avoid the brunt of the punch. anyways, i threw that person and he didn't want to fight after i pushed him down some stairs.

anyways, yeah, have it reset asap. there is a thing called "boxer's nose" which is usually a flattened or misshaped i believe. but, hopefully u will be fine.

LOL nice.. im sure that makes him feel the world better :P lol

dude u in the army? british/US n what regiment?

oh n as for ur nose .. if ur that self-conscious about it - like everyone has already told u - go for surgery but if its only move to the side a lil bit it shouldnt be anythin to worry about.

Hey like a great boxer said (Ricky hatton) he'd never have surgery on his nose cos its a boxin trophy no1 can take off him :)

im sure its not as big as an issue as u think now. the longer u leave it n the black eye goes down the more ull get use to it n dont think too much of it.

Anyways sorry to hear about ur boxer's nose :P (only jokin mate :p)

Laters dude :)

If you're going for a career in boxing better get used to it, at some point you will get hit again. You may end up with a nose like Chris Eubank in all honesty.

well if u got a regular doc that u trust then he/she should be able to refer u to some1 who can do it for u. surgery isn't really necessary unless its really fudged up. they'll have to re-break it then set it.
