To be fair Hide was in action only two weeks ago. It was just too short notice to bring Mormeck or Bell in at that kind of notice.

It seems like any sort of British name that would normally be on Sky will be Box Office from now on. All they do is piggyback the event with an American show. They did it this time with the De La Hoya fight and they did it last time with the Middleweight prizefighter and Hatton.

He tried after Flores turned it down. Seems like they were close to a deal, but it was Herbie who pulled out in the end.

i'm not a warren fan but the original ppv was for 2 semi legit wbo titles cook v foster and enzo v banks plus khan comeback, Not his fault that the two main fights were postponed.

Warren didn't Sky did. They passed it off as a double header from the UK and America and at 15 quid it was a very good night infront of the TV.

i think it was worthit there was alot of kos that night in the undercard the americans got like 2 kos atleast per fight khan was good i didnt watch audley i went to itv to watch carl froach vs pascal much more entertaining then khans comeback was good sure the guy was a bum but the night was entertaining

It was mainly Warren's doing, but does anyone seriously think GBP did not take their cut too? It was an eliminator for Ricky's next fight and he knows their will be interest in this fight in England. Plus by making them pay for it with their hero Amir Khan's fight will make them more likley to stay up and watch!

I knew this card was much too strong for warren to keep, enzo, khan,fraudley and 2 title fights? he could put on three shows with that. He does this all the time, makes a good card, sells the tickets and then fighters drop out.

I once bought tickets for a card that was advertised as-
Calzaghe stepping upto light heavy to fight glen johnson for ibf title
Hatton fighting a guaranteed world top ten recognised fighter
&
Anthony Farnell wbu defence.

Calzaghe's fight fell through
Hatton ended up fighting an unheard of carlos vilches who i dont think had ever fought outside argentina.

only the farnell fight was as advertised.

I would love to know how many ppv buys they did for this event.

The only time I can remember sky showing us box office numbers was for the hatton-mayweather fight.

I know back in september when they tried to pass off Khan Prescott as PPVthey needed 250,000 buys to make it worthwhile and the got less than 50,000. Khan is a relative novice even though he has been pro for 4 years coz his opposition has been ****e. He hasnt even faced the best fighters in greater manchester never mind all the talk of world titles lol

That is poor to be honest. he basically went from fighting infront of 8mil to 50k on BO. BO is killing boxing.
