****, I don't even know where you're talking about. I don't know where scroll lock is, or insert either. Pretend I'm a mongoloid, that shouldn't be too hard. How would you tell a mongoloid how to do this, from square one? Where do I start?

look at your keyboard. in between yuor "letter" keypad and "number" keypad, there are some arrows and various keys. on the top is usually a button that says "print screen"... hit that when showing your desktop, then open any graphics program, paint, paint shop pro, irfanview, photoshop, etc. and hit control V to paste it. save as a jpg, post the image. :)

Ok go to your desktop, hit the print scrn button on your keyboard going into ms paint. Click paste. Save image.

The print screen key doesn't work, the cursor disappears for a few seconds, nothing happens. All I wanted to do was share my latest grotesque picture, so here it is:

Nothing will happen. Just hit the button, then go into paint and go edit-->paste, then a screen shot will appear.

I don't know what got into me, I shouldn't have even thought about posting that pic here. Sorry if anyone saw it before I edited it out.

I got the paste-into-MSPaint procedure down now. Once I realized the keyboard is that thing you type on, it opened a new world for me.

That pic actually made my wife feel ill. I hope momita didn't see it. It's my new favorite disgusting pic.

I tried to do that....but I got no reaction from my compter....so I must have done something wrong...no, wait. It wasn't me, it's the computer.

Mine was boring anyways, no martial art stuff....just crosses.

Hitting the "print screen" key won't cause anything to visibly happen, but it does grab an image of your desktop. When you open MS Paint (usually bundled with Windows) and then choose edit--> paste from the pulldown menus at the top of the Paint window, it loads the desktop image. Then you can save it (file--> save as) as a .jpeg image file, or whatever type of image file you want.

You can also download this little program http://www.irfanview.com/

Click options then Capture.

check whole screen

check hot key under capture method

and then save captured image file as
somewhere on your computer you'll be able to find it like your 'my pictures' folder

hit ctrl and F11 when you're ready

imagine how upsetting it is to re affirm not only am I a blonde at understanding technical things....... but a tard also.............

madcrewmom, try saving it again. When the window pops up to enter a name for the file, look at the directory it's going into. That's where the last one went.
