Naw you don't. Just because like, what would you do? Attack him and go to jail? It's the internet and nothing really matters. Everything is exaggerated to the nth degree. Sure there are people I would like to beat the **** out of but it will never happen and I don't care.

In other news instead of clicking 'quote' I kept clicking 'edit' for some reason. It started to piss me off until I paid attention to what I was doing.

I think a ballad is in order.

Hockey, would you do the honors? A Kenny Loggins song perhaps?

Ever hit the "Reset Form" button instead of Submit reply? I have a few time, man that sucks, especially in a long post......

In this case a confrontation would be appropriate. Unfortunately he got banned before I got reply, or even read his post. I would politely ask him if he'd like to repeat himself. Apparently, he's another one of the brave souls who says that on a regular basis. If he had the courage to repeat his post, I'd just take it from there. And I'm not above spending a few hours in jail on a misdemeanor assault charge too emphasize my feelings and beliefs in this matter.

Pour out a little liquor for my homey, Spencikiss

Revvin' up you engine
Listen to her howlin' roar
Metal under tension
Beggin' you to touch and go

Highway to the danger zone
Ride into the danger zone

Headin' into twilight
Spreain' out her wings tonight
She got you jumpin' off the track
And shovin' into overdrive

* Highway to the danger zone
I'll take you
Right into the danger zone

You'll never say hello to you
Until you get it on the red line overload
You'll never know what you can do
Until you get it up as high as you can go

Out along the edges
Always where I burn to be
The further on the edge
The hotter the intensity

Hightway to the danger zone
Gonna take you
Right into the danger zone
Hightway to the danger zone
Hightway to the danger zone

I'd tell you what he said but would probably get banned too and I wouldn't want you to miss out on me. Anyway, I don't agree with what he said either because it was in a negative context and not in a friendly spirit which is a comparison I was trying to make earlier. Ah **** it, he called you a "******* lover".

Some people do cross the line. Context is everything. I dunno what was said or the context but if what Hockey said is true and it wasn't in a fun context then that isn't on. Oh well. We will miss Spenci I'm sure - even if he only made 22 posts here.

Re: the n-word
I think it's fair the way Cesaro and LB use it to each other. Context really is key and people need to be cool with that. Especially when it's clear two guys are having fun calling each other names.

I'm just gonna make one statement than let this die. The internet is real life. So why come here and act any different, talk different than you would in an in person situation. This is a public forum, if they wanna say the n word behind closed doors, that's their choice. But I highly doubt they would utter the word in a public place with black people present. If they wanna IM gangsta this, and N that 'til the cows come home I don't give a ****. But I personally have a problem with people using the word, regardless of context. I didn't even ask them to refrain from using it. I made a smart comment, and then attempted to formulate a somewhat intelligent and sturdy argument for my point of view. As is the case most of the time, the situation disintegrated into a steamy pile of **** from there.

I am gonna say this as someone who met his wife online and regardless of what people have to say about that, I think I've got some idea on how communicating online goes.

That is YOUR perception of the Internet.

It is NOT everyone elses.

If someone else doesn't share a somewhat similiar idea of communicating as you do, you will have a problem because your contexts are different.

Some people will lie about everything online, some will say **** they will never have the guts to say to someones face. Some people post here or IL or Sherdog. I've worked alongside people who do the same thing - and use their position behind a keyboard to mouth off. Some people will be honest and straight up.

It's a fact of life.

Everyone is going to have a different take on how the 'net works.

How you react to it online is going to be different to how you'd react in real life because you do not have the same method for dealing with disputes or resolving them (ie. punching someone that says something to offend you).

Regardless of what people say or how they react online, you gotta accept communicating online is totally different and no substitute to communicating with someone in person.

I'll take that as a longwinded way of stating the obvious, and agree to disagree. Or something like that. People lie all the time, in person, on the net, they fight, ****, internet relationships have resulted in murder. It has become a part of our real lives was my point. People act like asses in real life, even more so on the net, there's the added security. **** it, I don't even remember what I'm trying to get at now.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with you.

I'm just saying not everyone else is going to. And rightly or wrongly you're gonna have to agree with that.

At least until the day comes you can reach through the Internet and punch someone the **** out.

I have to agree with you one hundred percent on this. Very few people can get their point across the first time without mistakes. If I am talking to someone I know in real life, then it's easy because they know me and how I talk. But when you take two people who don't really know each other.......huge misunderstandings can take place. Been there, done that. :-(

Leave. You only live once man. Strike out and do your thing. There's nothing confining you to small town Canada besides yourself. Come go to school in the states somewhere, or somewhere in Canada with places to train. When I was your age, 20 or 21, I wish I would have taken the initiative to just up and leave and go do the things I really wanted to do.
