i drove to a bar with my buddy, i got a call that i had to leave.

i left got home, got changed and when i went ot leave again my car would not start.

I got jumped and everything went alright.

I got to the gym where i was sapposed to meet up with some people and go about my business of promoting for the AFC fights tomarrow night but my car would infact NOT START!

I tried to get jumped again to no avail.

the dude told me my alternator must have been sparked or shot or gone to **** or it was my battery.

my battery is like 4 months old.

how could this be!?!?!?

i will add that the car seemed hot when i opened the hood, yes i know it should be hot but how hot i do not know.

I don't know ****. But from what you're describing definitely sounds like the alternator. The second time you tried to jump it did you give it a few minutes to charge the battery?

check the cables and connectors on the battery and make sure they are clean. Check the wires on the back of the altenator and make sure they're tight. Take the battery to auto zone or pep boys and have them check it for free. If that's not it take the altenator off and have them check it.

If you know how to use a multimeter you can jump start it and check the voltage coming off the back of the altenator. It should be around 13 to 14 volts. Check it at the battery also and it should match what's coming out of the altenator.
1) If the voltage at the alt. is OK and matches te voltage at the battery then it means your battery is bad
2) if the voltage at your alt is low it means your alt. is bad or your belt is loose
3)if the voltage at the alt is good and doesn't match the voltage at the battery you have a problem in the wiring

Mine cost about $60 I think. But follow Curly's advice first. Check and clean your connects and battery posts before going and buying anything.

I have an '02 Celica. I'm ready to sell that thing. The car payment is insane and I'm not sure what dad was thinking when he decided to spoil me and buy a brand new car. It gets great gas mileage and it runs like a dream, but I'm ready to cut that car payment in half, especially since I'm not the one paying it.
