Summer in Australia right now and that means crap TV shows from the states that won't quite cut it here in ratings time. Best of this current batch is one called 'The OC', supposedly set in Orange County...

I think it is suppose to be a serious, late teen 'coming of age' drama type thing...but I watched it last night, the first episodes, and near on pissed myself at some of it. It is like Beverley Hills 90210, but way younger actors.

Funniest line...

One pretty boy kicks the stereotypical bot from the wrong side of the tracks (see 'fish out of water') in the goods after a bit of a scuffle at a party and says "Thats how it gets done in Orange County *****"....it reminded me of the mean street posse in WWE a couple of years ago...I laughed like a tickled schoolgirl....

the show is ****ty considering orange county it is where some of us live. they stereo typed us as some preppy ****s. i'm sure its safe to say that 80% of orange county residents that watch it are dissappointed. i will never watch that show. ever. unless i can get a confirmation on hot hoes on the telli-tube yo.

That was my next question...you guys don't use lines such as 'Thats how it gets done in Orange County' after kicking guys in the junk do you? Cause if so, I don't want to play here anymore...

there is some nice flesh in it though...it was the one thing I gave 5 stars to...some hot chicks...

It is funny though, people everywhere think Australians wrestle crocodiles and say Crikey a lot cause of Steve Irwin...TV is a powerful medium

the nut kicker was pretty impressed with himself...he had just been near on KO'd a minute earlier so it was a miraculous comeback.

The scenery looks awesome, nice beaches and stuff, and the chicks add to it nicely...but other than that, the show sucks

Yes those were gay but the OC has madd hot chicks that are young and not 50 year olds in makeup trying to like 23 like those other ones.

Man this show is freakin huge out here. Guys are lining up to watch it like its Dawsons ****en Creek.

It will catch on here for a while I htink...but I don't see it appearing in ratings time...it will be replaced by repeats of 'This is your Life'

I know what you mean about the OC... I watched an episode of Boston Public and just shook my head.

The OC looks condescending and tries to sum up california kids into the gayest stereotype. Isnt Orange county ****ing huge? Isnt Long Beach part of Orange county?
