View Full Version : Grips of loan officers just got canned
Purity 12-02-2003, 12:09 PM right before the holiday. about a 3rd of the l/o's just lost their jobs yesterday. sux before the holidays but that's life.
anywayz, my client just sent me a fax that's called "the tornado fax". i dunno what the **** that's supposed to mean but it made me laugh.
another day in purity.
at Cendant Mortgage, where my sister works, just canned a lot of people also. they actually offered an 'incentive (sP)" package if you would resign rather than being fired. It was like a month's pay plus your vacation pay and soem other stuff...
Purity 12-02-2003, 12:27 PM how nice of em. we don't give advanced notice. there used to be a guy called skip who used to walk up with yer paycheck and a simple, "alright, time's up. yer outta here. pack yer **** and get the **** outta my building. CMON! don't look at me all googly. pack yer **** LET'S GO!! MOVE IT! get your ass up, hang that phone up, and march the **** on outta here. GO! NOW NOW!!!"
he'd totally humiliate people in fronna everyone. that was before i worked here though. that'd be pretty brutal ta see.
Bluecifer 12-02-2003, 12:41 PM My ex is an appraiser and she's worried that the fed is going to raise the interest rate and all their refi biz will hit the ****ter and substantially hurt their income. She's afraid that the real estate bubble is gonna burst.
Purity 12-02-2003, 12:44 PM the bubble's not gonna burst (in regards to home values). however OF COURSE yer friend is gonna lose business. even if the rates aren't raised, the refi market is saturated. if someone qualify's for a low rate, chances are, they've already got it.
i'd tell your friend to buddy-up with as many realtors as possible right now.
Bluecifer 12-02-2003, 12:46 PM I'll tell her.

ruffneck119 12-02-2003, 05:13 PM Oh and tell her to give me head.

I am sure he got a few hooks to the jaw for his troubles
Purity 12-02-2003, 06:35 PM came close several times from what i heard
The Jake 12-02-2003, 06:37 PM All it would take is one severe beating.
If I lost my job like that, I'd have no qualms about busting the guys jaw.

Fallout 12-02-2003, 06:47 PM Yeah, I am sure your not the only one.
Ther are a lot of people that would lay an unholy ass whopping on someone if they pulled that ****
The Jake 12-02-2003, 07:04 PM I know people who lost their jobs/quit who were on their hands and knees PRAYING for an excuse to wail on their boss.

even if it meant you getting blacklisted in one of the most lucrative industries out there? i don't think so.
that doesn't dismiss vengence- more along the lines of moving it into a more appropriate time slot.

In a word, maybe.
Depends entirely on how much of an ******* the guy is and how pushed to the edge I already was.
Besides, that's why courts have AGGRAVATED ASSAULT charges which basically mean yeah you beat someone, but they had it coming.
Besides, some people really do need a beating to get a better attitude.

The Jake 12-02-2003, 07:39 PM It's a nice industry btw, but it's by no means the wealthiest.
Is it worth sucking down your pride and self respect for a job? A career?
That's for each person to decide on their own.

ruffneck119 12-02-2003, 07:41 PM **** his wife.

That works too.
Ask Astro how to screw over managers who are cheating on their wives :)

A day before I interview with a mortgage company, sweet.

i never said it was THE wealthiest field. i said it was ONE of the wealthiest and if you wanna deny that then feel free to deny the fact that 90% of wealth generated is through real estate.
and to ****can a career that most people spend very hard work and time to generate lots of money so that way EX co-workers (who could give 2 ****s less about you anywayz) can look back and say to themselves:
"wow. that guy never took **** from no one."
yeah ok. if you're stupid enough to pull that ****in stunt then you're not smart enough to deserve a career.
if it's an issue of self-respect then i wouldn't have much respect for myself after letting my pride dictate my future. now pay attention to the last sentence that i typed in the previous post before replying.
The Jake 12-03-2003, 12:22 AM Oh I read the last line mate, I understand your point. Laxatives and blanket bashings are god given tools of a man who seeks covert revenge :) I just forgot to add that.
What I was getting at is there's a line between keeping your principles and selling out and it's up to each man to decide just how much of a price you place on your pride (because that's effectively what we're doing).

ruffneck119 12-03-2003, 04:07 PM Pretty much it would be a stupid ass move to hit that guy if he fired you like that. Not only that but you would most likely get sued here in Cali for it. Now seeing him at the local pub, kicking his ass, and then ****ing his wife/sister/daughter/mom is another story.
seldomTap 12-03-2003, 04:19 PM I would restrain myself...just grin at the guy...be sure I knew where he lived...and get Uncle Chopper to pay him a visit...

ruffneck119 12-03-2003, 04:23 PM Is that the one who touched you in your hapy place when you were little?
seldomTap 12-03-2003, 04:36 PM Gladly not...Chopper Read is Australias most famous crim, stand over man and funnily enough author. He is well known for using a blow torch on peoples feet and cutting toes off with bolt cutters...
