I started at 10, I'm 34 now, but haven't actually fought in 10 years. I still train, and have given thought to having another fight, but I've put on about 70 pounds from weight training. I don't think I've got it anymore.

I do some MMA/bjj training to, but boxing is and always will be my first love. But actually, at this point, I'd probably do better in mma.

Started boxing when I was 8 years old, I am 24 now.

I have been in the gym my entire life. My family has a pretty big boxing background and I was always in the gym even as a baby. I was never boxing then but I was around, sparred with my brother and cousins, hit the bag and worked out a bit. I never got serious untill I was 8 when I actually started going down every day and doing the entire workout.

I took 6 years off at the age of 18 due to a car accident. I got a fracture in my neck, and suffer from chronic migrains, along with neck and back pain. I've gone through physical therapy twice, seen two different chiropractors that I was going to twice a week(I still go, but only once a week now), a neurologist and neurosurgeon, a pain specialist(Got quarterzone shots in my neck/back), and a couple different masseus's(Sp?). I've been on just about every medication you can think of for migrains. Meds that you take everyday as a preventitive, and ones for the onsight of a migrain.

The doctors told me I would most likely never box again. Earlier this year I competed in the Golden Gloves for the second time, and made it to the finals of the New Englands yet again. I wasn't in nearly the shape I should of been, and after losing 15 lbs and starving myself, I had no energy after the first round.

I was suppose to turn pro at the age of 18, after I went into the Golden Gloves, but.... that got put on hold =(

My next fight will be my pro debut around January / Febuary.

Sorry for rambling =). On pain pills atm because I broke my toe(Was suppose to fight December 13th), and broke a filling in my back molar. Yep, I am accident prone!

I was born a fighter and have always had tremendous fight in me. Or maybe it was A.D.D *yuk-yuk*

i started martial arts when i was 8 (and I'm currently still a martial artist and a teacher and instructor) and started competing in karate tournaments since i was 13. But i was always enthusiastic about boxing. I love boxing. I remember hitting the heavy bag in my garage since i was like 10. I taught myself how to box throughout the years by watching training and figuring things out with my Dojo brothers.

I didn't start recieving formal boxing training until i was 25. So technically i've been training in "boxing boxing" for almost 2 years. Formally learning the art and science...yadda yadda yadda. I gotta say i'm fcukin addicted. I've got 4 fights under my belt. 2-2; i might have a bout on the 13th.

With my martial arts background, my love for boxing and a furious fighting spirit, i was able to learn quickly blah blah blah...but i love training, learning and fighting.

Personally, boxing is just another art form which enables me to be well rounded. But i keep things conventional and traditional. I'm not into the MMA scene. Maybe it's my O.C.D., but if i were going to get into the MMA scene it'd be conventional. Probably in my 30's i'll learn BJJ or whatever.

My philosophy is: Training is like knowledge...it's infinite and never ends.
