Big Macc's title fight tops bill in London

ENZO Maccarinelli's WBO cruiserweight title fight with Johnathon Banks will headline the bill in London next month after Nicky Cook's withdrawal.
WBO world super-featherweight champion Cook was due to make his first title defence against Salford's Stephen Foster Jnr but has withdrawn due to flu.
That means Maccarinelli gets to head a bill also containing Amir Khan and Audley Harrison at the ExCel Arena on December 6.
The Swansea star challenges undefeated American Johnathon Banks for the vacant WBO title — a belt Maccarinelli lost to David Haye in March.
Promoter Frank Warren said: "Obviously this is unfortunate, but these things happen in boxing and Nicky needs to be fully fit to defend his title,
Enzo now headlines the show and is in a real hard fight against Banks. We have worked hard to get him a world title opportunity on his first fight back and now it is down to him to do the business in the ring."

big shame that this has been called off but in all honesty i just cant see Foster being a serious threat to Cook

good domestic scrap though and lets hope it still happens

At least Macca v. Banks should be a decent alternative headliner; I'm a little surprised that didn't top the bill in the first place, with all due respect to Cook. Pity, though.

This does suck big time. Cook is one of my favourite british fighters along with Mitchell and im gutted to hear this news. I wonder if there is still tickets though going for this

I wanted to se Cook in action, bit disapointed in not been able to see him box now.

Sky can get to **** if they think i'm paying £15 to watch Big Mac, Amir Khan and the DLH fight.

I will be streaming that night.

For 15sovs id say its still a pretty good deal.

Im guessing the ODLH-Pac undercard will be pretty good as well!!

Thinking about it, it probaly is worth it compared to what the Yanks will be paying. I would rather go the boozer and watch La Liga and the Froch fight then come home, have afew cans, pizz and watch the big fight.
