The tournament will take place on november 30th in Torrance High School - 2200 West Carson Street, Torrance, CA.

This year the tournament is open,athletes from any citizenship are wellcome, the best american athletes in each belt(adult divisions ,man only) will form the Jiu-Jitsu American Team 2004 to compete USA X Brazil Jiu-Jitsu Teams Challenge that will take place in the USA next year.



DIVISIONS




Adults


The division is open for everyone, but athletes of other age divisions willing to compete here will not be allowed to fight in their own division (athletes can only enroll in one age division)



Fight time:
white belt 5 minutes
blue belt 6 minutes
purple belt 7 minutes
brown belt 8 minutes
black belt 10 minutes


Masters (30-35)


Athletes born between 1968 and 1973



Fight time:
Blue belt 5 minutes
Purple/brown/black belts 6 minutes

Men only


Seniors 1 (36-40)


Athletes born between 1963 and 1967.



Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes



Men only


Seniors 2 (41-45)


Athletes born between 1958 and 1962.



Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes



Men only


Seniors 3 (over 46)


Athletes born before 1957.



Fight time: all belts - 5 minutes



Men only


Women

There will be three weight divisions (check weight list)

Purple, brown and blackbelts will compete in the same division

Adults only

Fight time:
White belt 5 minutes
Blue belt 6 minutes
Purple/brown/black belt 7 minutes



WEIGH INS

The system will be the same used in the Mundial in Brazil , the athlete will check the weight after the official call for his first fight, minutes before he steps on the mat, the competitor can check the weight only once, if the competitor doesn't make it, he will be imediatelly disqualified. Make sure you're in the correct weight division, if the competitor doesn't make the weight, no changes will be accepted in the brackets, and there will be no refund on the fee.

All athletes must check weight with the gi on.

HOW TO ENROLL

There is three different ways to sign in:

A-) Mail registration - Fee US$ 50.00

Fill the registration form, make the checks or money order payable to A.J.J.C., and mail the payment and the complete registration form to American Jiu-Jitsu Confederation, 608 Meyer Lane, #204C Redondo Beach, CA 90278.
Mail registration deadline : november 21.

B-) Internet pre registration - Fee US$ 60.00

Fill the pre-registration form in the internet and go to Rigan Machado's academy (19019 Hawthorne Blvd., Suite 200-D Torrance, California 90503) on november 28 (10:00am-09:00pm) and 29 (10:00am-4:00pm) to pay the fee and sign the waiver.
Internet pre registration deadline: november 25.
