of taking my son to Magic Mountain with me when I go with my girls on their band trip. Wanting to take and whether I should is tough.....his grades are sucky.....completely disregarded his chores this weekend and has had a sucky attitude. But If I gave him the goal of maybe going, would he straighten up? I have no clue at this point....I just wanna throttle him at times, because I want to take him places, I want to get to know my son on a fun level.......*sigh*

Hit him in the back of the head and tell him he should be on his knees thanking god he gets to have a mom like you.

That does really make him act in a proper way. He will begain to think that you should only act normal if he gets something in return.

He needs some kind of military discipline.

yea, he would until you got back from there then he would just go back to how he was before because had got what he wanted. so unless you can continuously have a goal set for him he'll just be good till he gets what he wants then go back to how he was originally. i have a 4 year old little brat...er..brother...i know how boys are...im sorry :)

Yes, you guys are right. I thought the same thing after I posted. I just want to have some good times with my son again. I miss the nice kid he used to be.......but Hubby and I discussed it and I decided against unless it comes as a surprise and only after months of improved behavior......I think I'll have a long wait. :-(
