This game will be a classic.

The thing is,this is just a beta for the MULTIPLAYER,imagine how the final product on single player will look..its gona look like a movie.

Killzone could possibly take it to the next level,the games got a new lean and peak cover,thats in complete first person

IGN.com also agree this could be the best multiplayer game so far,and they also said no other game comes close in terms of graphics

Looks good. I just hope they add vehicles, because vehicles in multiplayer games has been a huge underrated factor. I haven't seen no other PS3 game since Battlefield BC that has put or added this option in their game. For me it makes a game much more enjoyable plus you never get bored of it since it aint the same old gun-and-run type of play....

Rushed? Is that seriously the excuse the developers came up with? The practically started development in 1999 after wowing Sony with their “Oil Rig” tech demo in late 1998 (and that Geatway tech demo), back when they went by the name of Lost Boys. Seriously, Sony gave them full access to their first party software tools and pumped millions into the game and the best they can come up with is “we didn’t have enough time”. Jeez.

I enjoyed the first Killzone, I really did despite the repetitiveness, sketchy controls and annoying vocals, the visuals were great for a PS2 title. And I think this will be no different. All guerrilla are are technical video geniuses, there by no means good game developers. I hope I’m wrong and hope they pull a Halo 3 out of their asses (Multiplayerat least), like I say, I really want this game to be great.

Sony need it to be after reported downing $40 Million on the project, they need sales of about 1.4 million. I don’t think the last Killzone did that kind of number and that hand an install base of 70 million unlike the PS3 which has 16 million. And with Resistance only selling 300,000 in it’s first two weeks (US of course, doesn't come out in Eu for another couple weeks i think, HA, unlucky bastards), signs look bad for Sony. This game could easily become the next Shenmue in terms of epic business disaster…

And, the video does look great, I’ll admit as much, the visuals as expected, are stunning…

Killzone 2 will be irrelevant in the light of the Shooters that have come out already, just as the original Killzone was.

Think about it, the game is flaunting it's graphics already. I promise you that this game's graphics capabilities will be absolutely garbage in comparison with Crysis. The PS3 could not max a game like Crysis, now how does that make the game look to the community in the graphics aspect of gaming? Makes me LOL every time I see a Killzone 2 "VISUAL MASTERPIECE" ad before I log on Crysis or Warhammer. It's just ridiculous.

Now barring graphics, I've never played a game just because it's graphics were sub-par. The game play/story. There is absolutely NO way to compete with the Gears of War story line at the moment and if you can't admit that, you're a fanboy. I love Solid Snake, I love the Wii, I love Final Fantasy, I love Japhappy RPG's that the made the original Playstation famous, but there is absolutely NO way to compete with the leviathan that is Gears of War right now. And if Halo carries through with the prequel and RTS, or even officially announces the prequel, Killzone 2 will be forgotten outside of the 100 people that will still play it online.

The gameplay doesn't seem like a COD killer from what I've seen. The graphics are awesome though but gameplay is what makes a game IMHO. Halo great graphics and awesome innovative tools, saved ingame video's and video sharing. However the gameplay wasn't really doing it for me.

Bricks there is no game in the world right now that competes with Crysis. Crysis is on a different planet, sometimes not for good reasons. You need a ridiculously expensive computer to even play is on highest settings, fans have to turn or look up whenever they throw a flash bomb, if not it crashes there comp, that kind shows how powerful the graphics are but that really means **** to me as it's less expensive to own a a console with amazing graphic capabilities then to build a computer with insanity graphic capabilities. Seems like you have a grudge on sony for some reason, clearly it can't be ignored how amazing these graphic are, they are a master piece, maybe not Crysis masterpiece but still a masterpiece on a console and that's the point, funny how you say PS3 can't handle it but you fail to mention the other fact that the 360 can't either.

As far as story goes with Gears, just another save the world story against evil with added side stories to make a great game, there is nothing in Gears that hasn't been seen in other games, this is the thing with 360/Gears fan boys, they think gears is the end all be all and it's not, amazing game yes, absolutely, no doubt about it, but there will be others like it in the future as always and that's a reality all fan boys need to realize. Theres games in development now that will blow both game aways in a few years, the fact of video game life, if it wasn't like this then video games would not have survived as long as they have and will continue to survive.

All the major websites of gaming,have said the beta is one of the greatest experiences they have played,and the game is the most realistic shooting game up to date,people playing the beta enjoy it so much,they havent had time to buy the new games that have come out,and from what ive seen,the game looks great,the gameplay is crazy

I'm not an idiot, I understand that there have been story driven shooters before. Hence the greatest (USER RATED, AND PROFESSIONALLY RATED. IGN/GI/EVERY NOTEWORTHY ESTABLISHMENT AGREES, PLEASE DON'T GET MAD AT THIS) shooter of all time, Halo, being story driven. What I am saying is that Gears of War has the story (at least for THIS YEAR, is what I said. "Spring of 2009") as well as game play and nostalgia on lock down over ANY other scheduled game. Now I understand your side of the argument, but I feel like you're just too hopeful for Playstation. I've always wanted a great shooter on Playstation, just like I've always wanted a great Japhappy RPG on the Xbox. This way we could all have one system and we could move forward into arguing over game titles instead of the systems. But we can't have our cake and eat it. The truth is, plain and simple, that we will probably never see that. Sony produced the Playstation, a mainly Japanese targeted system, it is best played offline and has shown its true colors when it comes to great Japanese RPGs. Microsoft produced the Xbox, a mainly American targeted system which showed its best colors in American shooters and Online play.

The target audience is us in America. The Playstation tries to put out these shooters, but they are all forgotten. The Xbox is the master of shooters, it's just the way of things.
