Slick rick....one of the greatest rappers ever. His storytellin is just as good as any other rapper, and im opinion he might be the only rapper with a flow as good as jay-z's. Slick rick invented original flows, he was way ahead of his time. He was very good lyrically its too bad alotta these new rappers dont take notes from rappers like slick rick and jay-z, who can be lyrical and still have a great flow at the same time.

Heres a couple of my favorite slick rick songs, dont listen to the first one after 2 minutes and 58 seconds

its sad that if a rapper made a song like that now, it would get no tv/radio play. This song was popular back in the late 80's, very good message....and it helped me get through some tough times....:439:

thats straight up bull****, you must be kidding me, i like rick, but he has nothing, anything to do with Snoop except Snoop remade Lodi Dodi, and made a couple wack songs with Rick but Rick didnt really do much work, I loved Childrens Story and i wasnt too much a fan of Mona Lisa but Ricks 1st album was good based on his song childrens story, his other albums were dreadful, but to say If there was no Slick Rick, there wouldn't have been Snoop, makes me think, you must be a mayweather or calzaghe fan(that means youre a dumbminded fool) or you mustve been a victim of a concussion

No one rapped like Slick Rick when Slick Rick came out

Snoop was very obviously influenced by Rick's style... I think he's even acknowledged it in interviews...

Slick ricks flow and storytelling were way ahead of time...At those 2 things hes easily one of the best ever.

Yesterday i went to best buy lookin to buy camron-purple haze. They didnt have it, so i bought the great adventures of slick rick...the 2nd oldest cd in my collection, next to rakim-paid in full.
