The Lightweight Division historically have had many great fighters and many classic fights. What are the greatest lightweight title fights any of you have seen? Here are my 10:
1. Corrales-Castillo I(Fight of The decade)
2. Joe Brown-David Charnley II(A brutal war)
3. Robinson-Gatti I
4. Robinson-Gatti II(Both fights were brutal replicas of each other).
5. Dorin-Spadafora(the single, most exciting fight of Paul's career. A bloodbath)
6. Ramirez-Rosario II(A 4 round war. Rosario completely out on his feet facing the corner)
7. Salas-Carter II(Recently saw this on ESPN classic. A toe-toe slugfest)
8. Mancini-Frias(Before Hagler-Hearns, the greatest first round ever)
9. Camacho-Rosario(The last time Macho was great. Rosario put him through hell)
10. Bramble-Mancini II (Non-stop action. Mancini fought with practically one eye for the entire second half of the fight)

Duran Dominated most of the lightweight title fights I saw. He's the best Lightweight I ever saw, but as far as fight of the year candidates, I know he had excellent fights with Viruet, Lampkin, and Dejesus, none of those fights were give and take wars like the 10 I mentioned. Duran, like Whitaker and Chavez, thoroughly dominated the division and was rarely in danger of losing his belt. Rosario, Mancini and Corrales were action fighters who fought one too many wars. Duran would have knocked all three out.
