He fought beautifully. I thought after Hopkins he might not be able to fight so well. Yes, Jones was hot, but Calzaghe is only a couple of years younger, and looks is still a great fighter. I felt a bit sorry for Jones.

I lost some respect for Joe after last night. Still clearly a good fighter but not on a Prime RJJ's level. All that showboating at the end was OTT.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Joe didn't humiliate Roy, that's the thing. He dominated him i'll give you that but it wasn't no Jeff Lacy type humiliation.

Past his prime Roy landed some good shots and did send Joe to the canvas in the first. Problem was Roy was shot to bits and by the time the 5th round came along and he had nothing in the tank. Joe was picking at him at will.

As for Joe mocking Roy well, not many people liked Roy so what happened last night was a haters wet dream because anyone who thinks it wasn't OTT is either a hardcore Calzaghe nuthugger or someone who doesn't like Roy Jones and glad he got humiliated when there was no need.

This is a Calzaghe appreciation thread, and you suggested he doesnt deserved any because Jones is shot. I think he does based on the manner in which he won and the fact he has been able to maintain such a high level of performance throughout his entire career.

There wasn't a single round after the first that Hopkins clearly won. If you gave every contested round to Hopkins you have the fight about even. If you gave every contested round to Joe you have 11-1, which some very intelligent fans (black ones too) scored.
