It's interesting you get ranked like that.
Most places I worked at nobody gets ranked at all or if there is a ranking, only one person gets the love and the rest get the contempt. Doesn't breed a healthy office environment conducive to aspiring, ambitious employees....
:-(

I still don't understand how we get ranked here. We just got told earlier today in a team meeting too. We have a performance review and then a salary review (I always thought they were the one and the same so I'm not quite sure why they're seperate now). I asked twice but I wasn't given a clear answer. To tell you the truth I don't think my supervisor fully understands yet how she's supposed to assess us..... :)

Probably cause if they have plans to alter your role a little they will tell you in the performance review which could later alter salary, Or ..
if your doing a **** job and they do improvement inbetween they can still give you a raise.

Not sure I understand your point.

If I understand correctly, it is meant to be our performance review directly ties to the salary review. The salary review is more for managers determining how to allocate budget and raises for people in the department, based on the results of the performance review.

That's right. It means one person's raise could affect anothers. Well if I don't make what I'm gonna be asking for next review, I will prolly start job hunting. I like it here but I definately need to worry about pay.
