My Linux box has been nullrouted off the network.

I was DoSing a spammer off our network the other night (hey it was my birthday!) and so I let the script run overnight... a little bit longer than needed but hopefully enough to get the job done.

Turns out I set the script to run MUCH longer than expected and started fragmenting. So what happened, rather than DoS the spammer off the network I began DoSing the entire LAN.

Now nobody is bothering to ****en remove the ip nullroute and I have to call some security dude outside hours to get him to remove it. Failing that, or I do **** all work tonight until he removes it.

Pisses me off.... they could've just removed the ****ing patch cables but nooooooo.... :( It's like swatting a damn fly with a ****ing sledgehammer.

Basically I tried to get rid of a spammer off the network by flooding his connection. Only something went wrong with the program I used (I don't think it was intended to be used with such large numbers in mind as I set) and effectively, killed the office network. As a result, they killed my access so I can't get any work done really until they fix it.

Mindless webbrowsing and post whoring until it's fixed then basically.

You're talking about computers. Other than that, it might as well been Chinese.
