View Full Version : Yoshida getting tons of press in Japan, his price goes up...
realkaps 11-11-2003, 10:43 AM Props too kakuto again...
Yoshida in every newspapers(Props to puroresupower)
This is what it feels like getting pounded by Vanderlei Silva in the face. Virtually everyone in the Japanese press pushed the idea that Hidehiko Yoshida came out of his fight with Vanderlei Silva 'stronger' than anyone ever could have expected.
Yoshida absolutely dominated the newspaper headlines on Monday in Japan, with Sakuraba almost being a second-tier story. With only five fights under his belt, Yoshida's price tag has to be 7-figures now to book him.
realkaps 11-11-2003, 10:43 AM 7 figures? Who does he think he is? Rickson?
Kempo Chris 11-11-2003, 10:44 AM He did well
Kempo Chris 11-11-2003, 10:44 AM rickson deserves 8 or 9 figures
realkaps 11-11-2003, 10:45 AM I agree he did well, but that is alot of money just too fight. That is nuts man, he has to be the highest paid fighter in history.....
Kempo Chris 11-11-2003, 10:47 AM True that - he lost and he gets more popular and more $
But he sells - so he will get more money
The Japanese want a good Japanese fighter and Yoshida is thier man
realkaps 11-11-2003, 10:49 AM He is getting more press than Sakuraba, amazing......
Saku vs Yoshida is my dream match......I wonder if they'll make it happen. I would pick Saku in this one.
realkaps 11-11-2003, 12:11 PM I dont think Saku is up for it. But if they want to know how to beat Inoki and K-1 on new years. This would be the fight that makes everyone in Japan watch......
Hell yeah, MAD RATINGS. SilvaxArona is also a logical fight, since they haven't faced off yet and Arona beat Ninja.
Mr. Beelzebub 11-11-2003, 12:16 PM Arona has a good chance of beating Silva (yeah, I know he's boring), he really does.
realkaps 11-11-2003, 12:16 PM But Quinton won the next title shot man......
Mr. Beelzebub 11-11-2003, 12:19 PM Knowing Pride, I don't think that Rampage is getting a title shot now. Silva is probably gonna fight Yoshida or Arona before he does Jackson.
realkaps 11-11-2003, 12:20 PM How about Yoshida Vs. Arona, winner vs. Jackson, winner vs. Silva?
Mr. Beelzebub 11-11-2003, 12:24 PM Rampage vs, Arona could be a great match, even though Ricardo is boring to watch; the man cannot be stopped.
