Amazing, amazing fight. Mad, crazy props to Nog, coming back in the 2nd and pulling the sub. If the 1st round had 15 more seconds he was done. Mirko needs to work on the ground skills alot, but I believe he will be back better than ever, and will be the champ soon.

Nog, man, my hat goes off to him.

His ground skills are very good....from the top. Nogueira couldn't do anything from the guard.

However, Mirkos guard is a different story. He passed, mounted and finished. Very nice

The first round went how I thought it would but Nog was too good and got him. I very happy Nog won.

Not quite an axe murdering but it was sweet.

Did NOg get a sweep to get him on his back?

I didnt think he would get him there useless it was a sweep

I was very happy with the outcome. Mirko's sprawl was alot better than I expected and I gave him the first round, but when Nog got on top, I knew it was over. Great job Nog.......

No, he took him down in the corner were Mirko couldn't sprawl. He then threw some punches, passed to half guard, more punches, mounted, punches, armbar, OVER

The patience setting up the armbar. Amazing.

CroCop will be the champ with in 8 months IMHO. He needs to work with some good wrestlers and really improve his bottom game. Getting guard, 1/2 guard and bottom sub defense need some serious improvement. He will be back better than ever. And if he threw more combos instead of relying on left kicks and straights so much he would've won in the 1st round.

IMHO neither of them can beat Fedor. Fedor is a machine and one of my favorite fighters.........

You may be right. I would pick Mirko, but I think Fedor could clinch and get the takedown and do his thang. For the record Mirko is one of my favorite fighters. I think this fight is gonna give him more time to get ready for Fedor after he beats Nog again, and he'll be more prepared than he would've in the first place. I'd love for Mirko to go train wit TQFC for a good 6 months, **** that Mike Bencic douch bag he has teaching him BJJ. As far as Nog goes, you obviously can't count him out, he's still a submachine and can catch anyone at the drop of a hat. I hope he beats Fedor and there's a Mirko/ Nog rematch.

I am not a fan of Mirko, I dont like him coming from K-1 thinkin he can win all his fights standing. IMHO I think a good wresler like Coleman or Kerr would own Mirko, his sprawl is okay, but you could tell he didnt want none of the ground game with Nog......

Once he got the mount it was over. It looked like he had never, ever, ever been mounted before in his life.

Some people predicted it wouldnt even go to the ground. In a grappler vs. Striker match, I take the grappler everytime. As I originally thought Nog would own Mirko no the ground, I give Mirko props though for defending from Nogs guard. But you cant learn in a few months how to defend against a grappler thats been doing this for years......

His mount defense was nothing. He looked like he put the bottom of his feet together, WTF was that? Granted, if Mino gets the mount, he's gonna finish a large majority of his fights.

I agree with you Zen, but I hope that slows the Mirko Bandwagon. I do believe that if Mirko honestly took grappling for real and not just think he could strike his way out of anythin that he could be a defenate contender, but I do belive that Fedor is gonna rule Pride for quite a while......

I think Mirko got ****y. All he did was throw left kicks and left straights. If he puts together some combos I think he wins in round 1. I'm riding shotgun on the Mirko bandwagon, and he'll be back better than ever.

Did you see pre-fight, Mirko was shaking bad. Im glad Nog got the win, he is on his way back to the top.......

Zen

I wasn't paying that much attention to the prefight. You mean shaking like nervousness or what?

Zen

And I really hope, and think that Nog can catch Fedor. If he can catch Coleman, he can catch Fedor. He can catch anyone on anyday, he's that damn good. Tonight just goes to show why MMA is without a doubt the greatest sport in the world.

That was real shaking, and yes Zen it was pre-fight. Nog was deemed unbeatlable same time last year. He is on his way back, he may beat Fedor, but I stll say that Fedor owns HW Nhb......

I am going to get laughed at for this but I think Silva beats them both

Mirko was destroying him in the first round, but once Nog got good position on the ground that was it.
Only way for either of these fighters to win would have been in thier own world standing up or on the ground. Nog could not compete with Mirko standing up and Mirko could not compete with Nog on the ground. If Mirko works his ground game he will be unstoppable.
Great job by Nog he is an awesome fighter.
This was my second favorite fight of the night.

i really had no clue who would take this fight because it was basically the world's most lethal striker vs. the world's best ground game- which means that either/or would win depending on who's territory the fight would be on.

i should have bet on nog because he has proven to have quite a chin whereas we've rarely seen mirko's ground defense.

Not the worlds best ground game, but the best mma submissions ever.
