View Full Version : Greatest Vato movie ever.
Mr. Beelzebub 11-07-2003, 11:04 AM That right...BLOOD IN BLOOD OUT is the greatest mexican-american production, surpassing great films like "Stand and Deliver" or "American Me". Thanks goes to my boy Kaps for reminding me of this excellent movie.
So, my caucasian brothers, if haven't seen this movie yet I recommend you that you do so this weekend.

Purity 11-07-2003, 12:10 PM American Me was better. waaaaaay better acting and screenplay, didn't drag on forever, and was based on a true story of the orgination of the mexican mob.
realkaps 11-07-2003, 12:12 PM Not the mexican mafia, it is the other mexican prison gang, La Nuestra Familia, they are enemys with the mexican mafia. Read all about it in this months MAXIM.....
realkaps 11-07-2003, 12:21 PM La EME is the mexican mafia/Surenios, they control some of the southern california prisons. La Nuestra Familia/Nortenios is there rival and a bigger gang controlling most Califronia prisons, Their leaders are in Pelican Bay. The main actor in American me acutally recieved death threats from La Nuestra Familia because of that movie.....
Mr. Beelzebub 11-07-2003, 12:23 PM Edward James Olmos is a bad motha****er in American Me.

i heard about that! edward james olmos actually tried to get protection and for some reason the cops didn't give him private security. i also heard that the girl that played the lead in that movie did actually get killed in real life by them for the same reasons. not sure if it's true though.
Bluecifer 11-07-2003, 02:03 PM I like Fez in that 70's show.
DragonZero 11-07-2003, 02:38 PM agreed greatest
Squezze 11-07-2003, 04:26 PM I saw the movie once a long time ago, and I was pretty drunk so I don't remember a whole lot.
mmafanman 11-07-2003, 07:20 PM American Me is a pretty disturbing film, with all the ass rapings. But yes, Edward James Olmos did receive death threats for making this film. Actually, I think the lady that was killed was an adviser to the film, not the lead actress. She was an older lady and was pretty well-known in her neighborhood.
I read a recent report that La Eme was 13,000 strong, and the biggest supergang in the California prison system. They've been around longer than some of these other prison gangs. La Nuestra Familia has about 8,000 members and controls Northern California. Then there's the other prison gangs like the Aryan Brotherhood and the Black Guerilla Family.
Purity 11-07-2003, 07:21 PM yeah that christmas-tree knife scene was pretty brutal
mmafanman 11-07-2003, 07:26 PM What about "Born in East L.A.?"
Jason Scott Lee as a vato was pretty funny.
