I thought he had said in the post fight interview that he hurt the knee weeks earlier during training?

I am sure slipping on that logo didn't help either!

he had surgery on it a while back then tweaked it again in training was given the ok to fight but blew it out on that slip, you can see him trying to shake it out. Those logo's suck, they have a different traction (sometimes more usually less) than the rest of the mat.He fought 2 1/2 minutes of the second and the bit in the 3rd with that knee gone, the only round he was healthy was the first and on one card he won it. Might of been a far different fight if not for that slip.

This happens in boxing too, it's not rare you see a boxer or mma fighter slip on a decal, you think they would have banned them by now. But it seems that in most cases publicity money is more important than the fighters health.
