Well his friend that he calls "old man" called up tech support because his AIM wouldn't work. After what seemed like hours of getting no where (largely due to old man's stupidity) the tech guy tells him to "go to the start menu, run, cmd....clarke michael douglas"

Now it is known to everyone except old man that the tech guy said "clarke michael douglas" only to emphisize the letters to be entered. Old man enters the whole thing then proceeds to respond to the tech guy "windows cannot find cmd clarke michael douglas". Cesaro was listening of the phone in a 3-way convo and typing to me what was happening. I hit the floor when he told me this. God damn you gotta be dumb.

The tech guy finally figures it's a problem caused by old man's firewall (can't remember the name). So tech guy tells old man to open his firewall program so they can change some settings. Old man responds "it's closed"
tech - "we need to change some settings"
old man - "it's closed"
Cesaro types to me "old man keeps saying 'it's closed' like it can't be opened again or something". I was on the floor again for another 5 minutes. I'd never actually seen anything like this before. There were times when there were no words exchanged on the phone between tech and old man for over 2 minutes. Just silence. Anyway turns out the firewall was set on it's highest settings and the problem was fixed after about 45 real time minutes. I'll be laughing about that "cmd clarke michael douglas" thing for days.

Oh I should also add that after the "clarke michael douglas" event the tech guy asked "what did you enter?". Old man responds "cmd clarke michael douglas". Tech guy then says "get out of that" and therefore saved old man from the direct embarrasement of looking like a moron by explaining what he did wrong.

I've had calls like that.

Believe me, it's more common than you'd think.

Example: Last call I ever took at my first ISP, I spent over an hour and a half on the phone once with a guy trying to get him to type in a single address but he was either deaf or stupid because he couldn't type in the letters even when I spelled it out for him phonetically. E.g. A's became 4's for some reason. He took so long to type his computer was disconnecting him for idle activity. Sad part is it would have doubled the length of that call to disable that feature....

In the end I told him his computer was broken and to take it to a computer shop.
