Can anybody give a brief translation of this article, I saw the clip of De Leon and Lucero, De Leon has heavy hands, is there any chance for this guy to make it big, I think Ponce still rough on the edges but the way he threw his punches remind me of a slower Pac few years back, a diamond in the rough....

it says that the superbatamweight ponce de leon will soon be recognized as mexico s finest , that he had a 109 27 amateur record , and now that only one fighter could last the limit against his power in his pro career.

he recently beat emanuel lucero , and that now SOLOBOXEO see him as a future star , his next fight will be against julio gamboa (33 8 2).

he has great power but has been criticized for having bad defense.

he comes from a mexican indian background and likes to shows it even when he steps into the ring.

he doesnt remind me of pac at all
they can both Knock people out
and are both lefties
but thats where the similarities end

ponce can bang with both
ive seen him KO and rock guys with either hand
i dont remember who said it
but someone described his style perfectly on here
they said he was remenicent of george foreman

he telegraphs his punches and theres so much power behind them yet people just cant find a way to avoid them
he defintlay has georges big swing technique
he gets hit more then he needs
but thats ok for now
but once he steps up oppisition
that poor defense just aint gonna cut it

but see i dont think pac telegraphs them so much
its more like you know dats whaqt he likes to throw
but if it was the first time uve ever seen him u wouldnt nessicarily knwo hes gonna throw the strait left
becuz of his bobbing
but since most educated boxing fans have seen him before
we know he loves and relies on his strait left alot
he does lunge in with it alot tho
so maybe thats what your refering too

Pac does telegraph his punches its the only way Marquez was able to avoid some and land his own right, when he felt pac was about to throw his left.

Anyway back to the subject at hand,

I think the problem with Daniel is he is a little tense on the day of the actual fight a lot like Margarito, he wants something so bad he kinda throws away the technique.

I seen both him and Margarito and in sparring they have a much more technically sound style but in the actual fight they tend to want the KO so bad they abandon the plan.

his stil young and I think he will develope into a real threat....
