which is one mile from my back yard.....
Fortunately for us, the wind blew it north/northeast. Pray for those whose homes are in danger of being burned down. It could just as easily been us and we have shake shingle roofs. Fire scares me. As of right now, it's burned 2,200 acres and is out of control.

Yup. I saw the Burbank fire start on Tuesday since the hills are only a few miles from my office. I was up on the roof having a smoke and noticed a slight trickle of smoke comming from the hills.. then bigger, bigger, by the time I left my office the whole sky was blanketed with a veil of dark smoke. That **** spreads fast and hard, that's for sure.

Ours has been burning for over 48 hours now :( It's was up 2,700+ acres as of noon. It was sparked by live-fire ammo during a training drill. It's so dry and hot right now and that isn't helping. It is now 28% contained.

Geez... given a 48 hour burning time, you would think that they'd have a higher percentage of containment by now. I guess just pray that the winds don't decide to switch directions... are you taking any precautions at all, or are you just crossing your fingers?

Fortunately for us it's gone northeast....it's now in the Fallbrook area and we are in Oceanside. We are lucky....I'm just thinking of the one's having to evacuate and leave their homes behind.
