Sup all, i got some questions for the 360.

Now before i say anything IMO PS3 IS better then it. But all my friends have it and its decent so i thought i would trade in my ps3 for it.

Now.

Does Microsoft still have a 3 year warranty on it?

Does it lag on Xbox Live?

What game should i start off with?

(Probably Far Cry 2 or Left 4 dead)

The lag is totally dependent on the game and how the servers are feeling. Its just like the PS3 in that respect.

*360 had some **** ass servers last year around Nov-Feb which is reason why they gave away a free **** ass arcade game.

But for the most part its just like PS3 but with better interface and easier ability to join up and communicate with friends. Use to be a big gap but now its much narrower.

As far as games go, you claim to have a PS3 so I would assume your talking about an Xbox exclusive title. Well it would probably be Gears of War but rent it. Its a fun single player game but neither it nor Halo (nor resistance for that matter) are my cup of tea.

BioShock is pretty good too but thats about it I believe with the other good games being available for PS3 as well.

LOL, ok so enlighten me and everyone. What part of my post do you disagree with? The worst post are by people like you who just disagree but give no substance just hollow declarations.

For the best game...it depends on what you like. Here are the 360 exclusives that I own:

Halo 3 (nothing special IMO, I prefer Resistance)
Bioshock (not played it much)
Condemned 1 (really liked it, but not much replay value. Worth renting)
Project Gotham 3 (decent)
Dead Rising (not perfect but the only game I've completed 6-7 times in the past 6 months)
Spiderman: Friend of Foe (this sucks balls. Simplistic and dated)
Perfect Dark Zero (launch title, worth picking up if you see it cheap)
Crackdown (Quite fun)
Prize Fighter (Most people disliked this, but I enjoyed it, as it is a boxing game, and it's better than Facebreaker at least...)

I have Orange Box and Assassin's Creed on 360 because I heard that they have some framerate issues on PS3. I have Virtua Fighter 5 on 360 because it has minor updates and online mode, unlike the PS3 version. I did find online mode to be laggy, however.

I was a big fan of the Original Xbox. I haven't bought a new console yet though. I want a 360 because the selection of games on it are more appealing to me than the PS3's selection. The only PS3 game I really want to play is MGS4.

However, I still haven't broken down and bought a 360 because I was scared off by the red ring of death.

So it's either pay for a PS3 just to play MGS4 and RE4 (when it comes out). Or buy a 360 and all the games I want for it at the risk of it breaking down on me because of my long gaming hours.

Right now I'm still playing my PS2, SNES, N64, and other systems.

I just bought a platinum Gamecube on ebay with a travel case, 2 controllers, a memory card, and a copy of "Twilight Princess" for about $30.

Twilight Princess, eh?

Whatever floats your boat.

I'm a huge Zelda fan. Ever since the original on the NES, but "A Link to the Past" and "Ocarina of Time" set it in stone. And I've yet to play "Twilight Princess", but it looks amazing. It's really the only game on the Gamecube worth owning, maybe the "Wind Waker" also, but I didn't like it's art style at all.

I gota good deal though, Cubes go for about $30 used by themselves, and "Twilight Princess" is still like $40 at Gamestop. Plus I got controllers, memory cards and a travel case.

I've not played much Zelda tbh. The only game in the series that I played a lot of was the one on N64.

Never owned a Gamecube, but if I did, I'd probably want to get all of the Resident Evil games, and Mario Power Tennis as well.

The Resident Evil series on the Gamecube are also on my list, forgot to mention them. Aside from the Zelda's and RE's, I think the only other Cube game worth owning would be the Metal Gear Solid 1 remake, "The Twin Snakes".

There's not that many great games on the Cube really, but it's worth the investment for those few titles alone IMO.

And you've gotta play "A Link to the Past", it basically laid the grounds for everything that would become synonymous with the series. Download an emulator if you have to, if you don't become addicted to it I'll pay you e-points for your time wasted.

You really need 2 upgrade.

You really need 2 upgrade.

Why? Are you one of those people who think retro games immediately lose their value when a new console comes out?

I'll take Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid, and A Link to the Past over Halo 3, Gears of War, and GTA4 any day of the week.

And the reason I haven't upgraded is because a PS3 isn't worth the investment to me for only a small crop of good games, and while the 360 has more games I want to play on it, I'm not slapping out $250-$300 for a console with that high of a failure rate.

And the Wii isn't even an option, I hate that damn system. Nintendo caters more to the elderly and 40-somethings now than it's own loyal fanbase. Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii are the only 2 games worth having on that dreaded console. The rest is a bunch of motion-censored casual mini-game crap discs and sports and fitness games.

I play a lot off the old saga mega drive games still like sonic and alex the great. I love super mario bros on the gameboy too. There is a compertitons on sky tv and i can easy get in the top 5 in the UK. Its is pong but called super break out on there. I have come first a few times but I just cba anymore because the amount of time it takes me is not worth it. The sky box gives people different advantages so I don't play it any more. They was a few retro games on there I could win but I'v just gave up with them. ASs for the Ps3 a loads of my mates play online on cod4 so its worth it the enjoy playing games and having a laugh at the same time.

I have an old original Nintendo that I dust off every year or two and play all my old games. I have about 40-50 titles and they are fun (if I can get them to work). They are as fun as any games out today only real difference IMO is replayability. They dont have it the same way many modern online games do.

But Tyson's punch out, tecmo bowl, contra, excite bike are still loads of fun.

Cool ****. I'll eventually jump the ship and buy a PS3 or a 360, probably a PS3 because I don't want a console failure. Though I'll hate not being able to play certain 360 exclusives, but it's better than having a busted system.

As for now I'm just trying to amass a good collection of my favorite retro games, especially with ebay being so cheap and all. For the price of 1 new game I can get 4 retro ones, sometimes 5 or 6.

I can't wait until I'm finished, I'll take some pics and post them in here.

I'll check out the Zelda game. To be honest though, 90% of my retro gaming is spent on games that I already liked 10+ years ago, I don't often get into the older stuff that I'm unfamiliar with.

The only retro games I've gotten into in the past year have been World Cup USA 94 (which is the sequel to a game I already liked) and Evander Holyfield Boxing. Despite dozens of attempts, I couldn't complete the latter. I might give it another try soon.

There's a chain of shops in West London that I go to where they sell secondhand books, videos, records and retro games at great prices, but sadly the games shop closed recently.:sad2:

Both the same ****.

Every game lags depending on your connection or how the servers want to act up.

Dude Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing was awesome! Did you ever try Riddick Bowe boxing on the SNES? I couldn't even beat the first opponet, those dudes just stalk your ass.

If you don't get into A Link to the Past I'll pay you 10K for your time spent on it. To me it's one of gaming's original masterpieces, without it I don't think the industry would be the same. And that's really saying something.

Dude I played the Buster Douglas game for Gensis wasn't it? I remember the guys heads us to look weird when they use to get knocked down.

Anyone remember IIRC??? Prize Fighter for the Genesis CD/attachment. It was black and white but I really liked it. Felt like I was in the movie Raging Bull.

im surprised no one has mentioned the fact that tekken 6 went multi plat....another lost exclusivity for sony(whihc probably explains why it hasnt come out yet for the ps3, even though the arcade evrsion is made based on ps3 techology, lol....)......not that surprising to me, developers are looking for major profits.......and microsoft can pay damn fine...

im sure versatile will be happy with this...
