Scarface is a beast, Ludacris is a magician and you have Chamllionaire!!!

Whoops!!! I didnt know chamillionaire was good

Sorry, i know my poll is probably off. 90% of the music i listen to is from New york, i thought about making a thread asking someone else to make this thread. It would be alot easier if you could add polls after making a thread on this site.

Scarface, Outkast, Luda are good but how can you forget Chamillatary man? Lyrically, he's on point. Bun B good as well.

Lyrically, Big Boi. Andre is no doubt the most creative emcee, Chamillionaire is good, Scarface just goes hard. I'm glad Cee-Lo got a mention too. Him and Big Boi are lyrical kings of the south.

the list is not impressive at all, scarface is the only good southern rapper, southern rappers have not much talent, all rap is basically dead ,rap died when 2 pac died and death row stopped making records, bad boy was a phase, cash money and no limit were flavor of the month crap that didnt make any good records, def jam was at a kinda rise, but not a serious label as in great artist, only overated rappers(rap pretty much sucks now)

thats all i'll say, i'm not going to argue with you...

he just made one of the best rap songs i've heard in a long time. its actually inspiring. to me paper trail elevated TI to an elite level. to be honest paper trail is inspiring because its well rounded, its not all in one direction.

ok. thats good then, for you.

What makes someone a king?

your looking too far into what i'm saying. all i was saying is that i like Ti, scarface and luda. There are no real kings period, its just a saying for rappers you think are great...ex: lil wayne is one of the kings of southern rap.

You need to brush up on your music bro....it's some real lyrical shit going on in the south it's not just booty music and crunk music souljah boi type shit. It's some real cats holding it down in the south and it's not just the south that is buying the shit cats are breaking records around this bitch. Tell me who's eating like the south is eating? You had your turn it's our turn now....I think maybe you formed your opinion because rap is dead on the west coast.

With the poll question i was referring to whos the best right now, not all time. I cant speak on the whole TI/Luda/scarface thing, i dont listen to any of them enough which is why i made this thread. I wanna know whos considered the best. For those who listen to most of the options on my poll, i respect your opinions the most, alot more then my own opinion.

I probably am the most familiar lil wayne, outkast, and scarface and out of those 3 i gotta go with scarface but i consider both members of outkast to be real nice. Looks like Big boi and scarface are lyrically the best from the south. lol @ lil wayne and whoever voted for him.

I stopped fukkin with outkast after i bought the speakerbox double cd. I cant really remember any of the songs, the only time i listened to it was when i was burnin some ganja. Since then this is the only outkast song i know:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/V3b9TfnHA8A&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/V3b9TfnHA8A&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Are they still real nice? It says alot about them that big boi got 6 votes and andre got 4, with big boi being tied for 2nd and andre 3k being in 3rd. What that Idlewild cd good?

*edit*

This song is real nice

it should be luda, he's the most succesful and he is also the most versatile and now when has ludas flow nor can they imitate it, to me scarface is more like a pioneer to the south but that doesn't necessarily make you the best and as far as outkast they are very succesful but it took them longer than it did luda plus luda is more versatile than outkast is byhimself and lil wayne is overrated most of the time he doesn't make sense
