We recently asked Nas what he felt about the swag movement. He responded by saying, "To me swag is another word for charisma. I'm a no gimmick rapper. I am who I am. My fanbase has always supported me for just doing my own thing and staying true to my style. I am a fan of the swag movement and in the past I've felt like its not for me but I think its time for me to get involved. I know that Jay-z is doing a swagger like us part 2, and I wanna be a part of that."

Other rappers like Cam'ron and Jim Jones in the past have referred to Nas as being "swagless." We asked Nas how he felt about this and he said, "Well thats the old Nas. Heres the new Nas." He said he wants to start dressing like this from now on:

swag is a word that annoys the mother****ing **** out of me, for some reason.

honestly i don't like the word either. i also don't know why...just don't like the way it sounds.

It seems like everyones trying to max out their "swag" nowadays

I rarely ever understand Nas' verses the first time listening to them.

Neither do I, most people probably dont. Some people never understand them. Hip hop is dead was his only cd where i felt like most of it was easy to take in the first couple times i listened to, but other songs....some of the stuff he says make me think to have understand what hes talkin about. This sh!t is crazy...
