hands at temples, elbows in, on balls of feet
push off back foot and fire straight down the middle aligning your shoulder and upper arm into a straight line with your body
twist hand clockwise, snap and return immediately, use right hand to block their jab or hook
push more off your back toe to repeat
push back off the front foot to get out of range

Obviously you need to go to a gym with a good trainer to be able to learn properly. That is truly the only way to ever get proper advice as it is just impossible to be able to correctly observe your own faults and bad habits. They need to be corrected by an experienced coach who knows what he's on about.
I did notice one quick thing written above that you should change though. You should not have your hands at your temples. That is much too high. I've also noticed that when people fight in that position they always telegraph their punches. Usually because they need to bring them down slightly before punching to get more power. You can see when they are going to throw. It is also not the best position defensively. Too high and you can get caught coming up and through the guard. Ideally, you should have your hands around chin/shoulder height, not temple. Shoulder height and chin should also ideally be the same because your chin should be tucked down into your chest.
As your query is directed for punches, the reason you don't want to have your hands throwing from temple height, apart from the aforementioned telegraphing, it is also difficult to throw a wide variety of punches if your hands are too high. Generally though, all 'round it is not the greatest position for your hands. Lower them and you get better power, more variety, less obvious, greater defense for your body and head and it is actually quicker when throwing with your hands lower (not low, just lower than the temple). Otherwise, all the other stuff is textbook.
Best advice is still a trainer though.

Have a look at wikipedia, that's where I learned. I'm able to throw a couple of decent punches every minute, and I bought a good book of amazon as well to improve my technique.

Silly idea. Forget wasting money on a book, it is hard to explain it in writing. Just watch B-Hop vids from the trading block. That's what you call textbook technique. Mexican boxers are also good to watch for mechanically sound punching techniques. In the end, a good coach is a must.
