YES!! true, I'm going to see this ****...The sound track is made by Marilyn Manson (I've heard it, but I don't know if it's true) and the atmosphere is look like the original TCM...and Leatherface :lovers: has a new family, I don't believe that this film can't be better than the Tobe Hooper movie, but It could be a new air in the poor horror scene of nowaday....

BTW...what about The House of the Dead? I've heard the dirctor is a german guy, and these germans are veeeeery mad (Necromantik, Burning Moon, Premutos...)

hmm, not sure about the Hosue of the Dead.

If I were you I would see the first TCM (a master piece) because perhaps this remake is more effectist and scariest (but I doubt it)...I tell you it because I had this experience with The Ring and Ringu...The japanese is more simple and IMO is better because you can understand better the history but The Ring is more scary...

i would.. but i think i won be able to see the old one beofre i get to see the new one....

Save your money and go rent the original. This new version is just a shameless attempt of cashing in on a truly original cult flick.

I agree, one of the key elements of this movie was how grainy and and simple the production was, made it seem so much more realistic.

And what about the "sound track" of the Tobe's Massacre???...DAMN it!! It was great...sounds of cans, old doors...IMO the sound track and the hot and nasty atmosphere were the key of this cult film....

Yes, the soundtrack was perfect, another area the new movie will be lacking. The hot and nasty atmosphere he created made you feel like you were sweating in the Texas heat along with everyone in the movie. It was just a great film produced with a small budget that IMO should not have been remade.

Agreed with you Prime Cut...this film doesn't deserve a remake (I don't know if it will be good or bad)....

It has been remade before, and that one failed. I expect this one to do the same.....

Was it ever actually remade before? I know there are 2 sequels to it, but I didn't think it was ever remade before.

-Leatherface (more bizarre and a beautiful silvered chainsaw) The texas Chainsaw Massacre 3
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Next (or New) generation with Rene Zwegeller and Mathew Mconjgfkjd....I haven't seen it...

there is a parody but I don't remember its name...mmmmm...Hollywood Chainsaw Massacre I think....
