Jack.Frost. 09-28-2008, 10:43 PM Sweet Revenge, what is your Smashing Pumpkins albums pound for pound list? Mr. Ryan 09-28-2008, 10:49 PM Sweet Revenge, what is your Smashing Pumpkins albums pound for pound list? 1. Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness Album 2. Siamese Dream Album 3. Adore Album 4. Gish 5. Machina/The Machines of God Machina was an underappreciated album, F--- what Rolling Stone says. Jack.Frost. 09-28-2008, 10:51 PM 1. Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness Album 2. Siamese Dream Album 3. Adore Album 4. Gish 5. Machina/The Machines of God Machina was an underappreciated album, F--- what Rolling Stone says. Hmm, controversial. I would rate Siamese Dream best, followed by Mellon Collie, after that you could mix and match for me. Mr. Ryan 09-28-2008, 11:00 PM Hmm, controversial. I would rate Siamese Dream best, followed by Mellon Collie, after that you could mix and match for me. You know what, most people will call me a douche for rating Mellon Collie first, since 1979 was my favorite song from the album which came in 2 CDs and it was more poppish. I might rate Siamese Dream number one on a different day, particularly since Today, Rhinoceros and Mayonnaise are among my favorite tracks. Adore was a great album. Mellon Collie is very good, I agree. My favourite song from that album is Muzzle. Mr. Ryan 09-28-2008, 11:05 PM Mellon Collie is very good, I agree. My favourite song from that album is Muzzle. Another great song, Mellon Collie is among one of the greatest double albums in the history of music. UncleCuntington 09-28-2008, 11:20 PM I am scratching my head to think of a better double album. If live albums count, then I like S+M by Metallica, but I think I prefer Melon Collie either way. UncleCuntington 09-28-2008, 11:22 PM Sweet Revenge, have you ever seen UK comedy show Alan Partridge? If not get your Limey pal to show you an episode. There's a part in that when he is asked for his favourite Beatles album and says "Hmm...it would have to be...The Best Of The Beatles". Mr. Ryan 09-28-2008, 11:25 PM I am scratching my head to think of a better double album. If live albums count, then I like S+M by Metallica, but I think I prefer Melon Collie either way. S&M was only significant to me for No Leaf Clover, and no live albums don't count because they aren't all original material. For double albums, you'd have to look at GNR's Use Your Illusion. Still, that isn't on Mellon Collie's level by any stretch. Mr. Ryan 09-28-2008, 11:27 PM Sweet Revenge, have you ever seen UK comedy show Alan Partridge? If not get your Limey pal to show you an episode. There's a part in that when he is asked for his favourite Beatles album and says "Hmm...it would have to be...The Best Of The Beatles".
