Reports are saying that the light heavyweight battle between Loyoto “The Dragon” Michida and Thiago Silva has been rescheduled for UFC 93 “Penn vs. St. Pierre” on January 31 from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

The two were to face off at UFC 89 “Bisping vs. Leben” but the fight was cancelled after Silva reportedly injured his back in training.

The 205-lb fight would put the winner in title contention and a chance at Forrest Griffin in 2009.

Rampage says he’s fighting at UFC 92 on Dec. 27

During a new article by British tabloid The Sun, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has contradicted a Yahoo! Sports report that indicated his next fight was likely to take place at UFC 93 on Jan. 31.

The paper claims that Jackson said in an interview with UK sports channel Setanta Sports that will be returning to action at UFC 92 on Dec. 27 in Las Vegas and that his opponent could be former PRIDE middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva.

Ben Sauders vs. Brandon Wolff Added To UFC Fight Night 16

Welterweights Ben Saunders (6-0-2) and UFC newcomer Brandon Wolff (7-2) will meet at UFC Fight Night 16 “UFC Fights for the Troops” on December 10th in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Saunders, a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter 6, is undefeated in eight professional fights. He topped Dan Barrera via unanimous decision in his UFC debut then defeated Ryan Thomas via second-round armbar submission at UFC 87 in August.

Wolff has won four consecutive bouts including his most recent victory, a split decision win over UFC veteran Chad Reiner in May.

Wolff was originally to take on War “Jon Koppenhaver” Machine in his UFC debut but he’ll instead meet Sauders after Machine declined the matchup and was released by the UFC.
