I weigh 19 stones and am sick and tired of it. I want to lose weight and become a heavyweight amateur. I'm only 5 foot 7 so it looks really bad, plus I wear size 44 waist jeans. Most of the time I stink of sweat and piss and it's really affecting my confidence. I have really bad gynocomastia as well and I'm tired of gettin the piss taken out of me by all the lads down the sauna for not taking my off t-shirt and trousers.

The other day was probably the lowest point of my life so far. Someone knocked on the door and I answered wearing just my boxers, which were grotty and stank of piss. I was shocked because it was a decently fit bird collecting for charity. I thought 'this is my chance' so I tried to chat her up, but she just had a really disgusted look on her face. At the end I got annoyed that she wasn't buying into it so I just said "i wouldnt shag u anyway". She replied with "sorry, i dont shag lads with bigger tits than me", and she walked off.

I was ****in gutted.

Now I'm determined to make a go of it and try and become a boxer, and to compete in my first match within the next few months. I can't be bothered with that training and diet bollocks so has any1 got some tips to just develop my punching and fitness without the strict regime? Thanks.

On the serious note, just do a protein diet meaning only foods with alot of protein.... No carbs

maybe start out by just walking 20-30 minutes a day. relatively brisk pace. Remove all the starchy foods from your diet,bread,paste rice,potatoes ect. start eating high protien foods and snacks 5-6 times a day. make sure you don't eat 2-3 hours before bedtime and replace those starchy empty carbs with green veggies, eat alot of salad it fills you up.

As for the ***** tits surgery I believe is the only way to correct it.

You need self-disiplime, do a lot of training, a LOT, and you'll lose weight. I'm persuming that picture is yours anyway. Also when people give you advise, don't slag them off, they are trying to help. Dancing is a very tiring sport and you need good fitness. (I don't dance btw)

My mate did it this way, drank this shake which had protein and stuff in it etc, i.e. a drink that acted like a meal. Drank it 3 times a day. He lost like 4 stone, try that. An other thing, my other mate lost lots of weight from having diahorea, like 3 or 4 stone. You won't get boxing fit without doing the training I'm afraid...

Health clubs have better trainers and better coachers, my current boxing coach is a tae kwon doe expert and is teaching me how to kick and block effectively, unlike some of the rip off merchants and bums u guys train with.

It sounds like you might be over doing it... don't do so many sit ups you might pull something!! And as for walking for 1 minute..... thats just ludacris!!!! start off with like 5 seconds. Try moving your fridge to about 5 seconds away from your couch or whatever it is you rest your ass on and then get up and walk to the fridge... then after you've done that you get a treat!!! Or everything in your fridge if thats what you want.

Remember eating healthily will make you fitter but eating unhealthy, greasy foods makes you punch harder and faster!!

god well if hes tryin ill try 2 help ok i suggest getting a speedbag set up and a good speedbag i suggest the peanut lonsdale speedbag and if u can a floor to ceiling ball/double end bag same thing they dnt reguire good fitness but they improve ur timing and accurace and ova time will build up arm muscle n endurance and u can start of doing sat down try to do sit ups but add a rep each time you do or per week or whatever you really nerly to do press ups even if u can do 1 and build up to 10 then to more ur getting thier try walking not in intevrals like try walking 3miles doesnt matter if it take 5hours and u rest alot keep at it and u will get thier sigh ino u guys gna kill me for this but if need me im here:/:)

Ryan loses the ball too much, and is more deadly coming off the bench.

I agree to an extent, but he never gets a solid run of games so isn't able to get his form going. Rafa stuck with Kuyt through almost a year of the Kuyt drought, why can't Babel have some game time?

ironmike, are you being serious in this thread or are you just pulling everyone's leg? There's no way in hell you can be ready for a fight or any other sport if you're not willing to put in some cardio....skipping is one of the best tools for conditioning and improving cardiovascular fitness. You seem to have started a thread as a joke and I'm not sure if you're being serious. Also, boxing gyms are conducive to discipline, arrogance is left at the door; get your facts right before you start being critical of places you have no experience with.

Boxing is an awesome sport for all round fitness, it helped me get into shape :P

The back end of last season he started alot of games once Rafa decided enough was enough with useless Kewell. He still did not shine! He gets forward and loses the ball alot. That's why we needed Riera. Ryan is Ok as an impact player though. Dirk ****e should be a squad player and we need another full time winger for the right flank. One more full back would do nicely too. Then I think we will be OK.

I've made great progress since I started this thread

Have lost 0.7 kg and I'm getting ready for my first fight on December the 28th against my mate (it's not amatauer but a sparring match)
