View Full Version : Roy Keane is just a reet cunt isn't he?

Everyone applauded his bravery and honesty when he berated his teammates for poor performances and lack of passion and ridiculed the "prawn sandwich brigade" fans who don't really support the team. But the more time goes on the more I think that he really can't help himself, like he's drunk by the time he speaks to the press or something. Especially when he berates Sunderland fans for having a go at him. Maybe they're having a go at you because you're a ****end. Now go and beat up a child or something.
kayjay 09-24-2008, 08:43 AM He insulted his teammates, and those same players have since won two league titles and one European title. He got pwned.
Nicky_Hatton 09-24-2008, 03:23 PM I liked him as a player, but think he's a right twat as a manager. He plays the old chilled out been there done done, straight talking , tell it like it is man card but he ends up chatting a load of **** constantly. He's so boring.
Anytime he talks about signings for example he bangs on about "characters" he's a twat. This is coming from a United fan in the 90's.
squealpiggy 09-24-2008, 07:08 PM I reckon he tries to do a Ferguson as well and goes to see the referees before the game to intimidate them. That was why the ref in the City - Sunderland game was so ****ty!
Alexis Vastine 09-24-2008, 07:26 PM Overrated. He was no Souness and that's why he only won a single European Cup whereas greame won three. The British media make him out to be the white Makalele, when he is far from anywhere near that good.

I agree 100%.
Alexis Vastine 10-05-2008, 01:24 AM Because you know your football too!
Man Utd didn't even need him to win the Champions League Final.
Keane was too indisciplined in the Semi, and picked up a yellow against Juventus, ruling him out of the final. Oh, the magical Captain Wonderful, who was never needed in the final, cos he was so overrated. Don't even start me on the horrendous assault on Alfie Haaland.
Paul Scholes did more for Man Utd than Keane ever did.
I'd rather a Patrick Viera any day of the week.

Ok, lads I agree with a lot of what you're saying about Keane but I'm going to have to draw the line at that.

Which bit?
Nicky_Hatton 10-05-2008, 03:29 PM Well firstly United were lucky to win the final, and how can you suggest that he'd be a negative influence? lol.
Paul Scholes? hmmm contentious.
Of Course having Viera's your opinion, but personally I think Roy had the edge.

I never suggested he would be a negative influence in the final. I did say he wasn't needed, and obviously he wasn't as they won it.

Well he was needed.
Ask the manager/anyone beforehand. Ultimately he wasn't needed as they won, but of course he was needed!
Alexis Vastine 10-05-2008, 08:29 PM They were not 'lucky' to win the final. they made their own luck. I think Scholes did alot to make him and Beckham look alot better than they actually were. We found out once they moved on that both were B Class players. I would say keane is a B+ whereas viera is a solid A+. Beckham was a B-/C+ class player.
Not only was Viera alot better than Keane (I thought that was kinda obvious and not up for debate!) but i also think that Paul Ince(A-) was too. Keane wouldn't have held his own if he went to Italy. He couldn't even handle the easy World Cup group that he got in Japan.
