Sweet Pea 50 09-20-2008, 01:37 PM Am I gay if I liked this movie? http://blog.afi.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/juno-poster2-big.jpg Clegg 09-20-2008, 08:59 PM Am I gay if I liked this movie? http://blog.afi.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/juno-poster2-big.jpg I wasn't too keen on it. A lot of the dialogue seemed a bit cliché. Whenever she spoke to her female friend, I was wondering if they were intentionally talking like stereotypical teenagers for the audience's amusement, or if the writer really thought that young people talk that way. It wasn't a terrible film, just a bit overhyped IMO. It's Ricky Hatton, rather than Amir Khan. I did like Ellen Page in Hard Candy though. That film was pretty good. Clegg 09-20-2008, 09:45 PM Have you seen Ghost World? That was a pretty good film about a teenage girl. Also, the teenage girl was played by Thora Birch, and the best friend was played by Scarlett Johannson, so even if you didn't like the story, the eye candy was great. Phoetoe 10-03-2008, 05:18 AM i watched The Happening yesterday. Shyamalan is really a hit or miss writer. i either really like the movie or really hate it. i've also been trying to see the movies listed on this list: http://www.alwayswatching.org/features/8-eye-opening-movies-remind-you-your-life-isnt-so-bad so far, Requiem for a Dream and Lilya-4-ever were the only ones i liked that i've seen. my friend, who "doesn't get offended" by movies, got offended by the movie Irreversible. i'm gonna be watching that one next. It's a modern-western starring Guy Pearce and Ray Winstone set in the Australian outbacks. It was slow moving in places, and some characters were never developed enough for you to care about them but overrall it wasn't too bad. IMDB have it rated at a 7.5/10 which anything over 7 usually qualifies for a half-decent movie, but was let down from such praises. I'd give it a 7/10. Mech. 10-23-2008, 07:23 AM splendor has hope davis, she's pretty, but not thora birch truth. for the sake of the thread, I re-watched gattaca today. Classic. Oasis_Lad 10-23-2008, 07:55 AM Damn, McCain....why so serious? phallus 10-28-2008, 03:37 AM watched War Zone last night, it's really unbearably slow starting, the first half is incredibly boring but it makes up for it in the end. really weird film about a middle class family outside london with some f.ucked up shit going on. good performances, also, and lots of pale english milk white skin Phoetoe 10-28-2008, 02:07 PM i just watched Shoot'em Up last weekend and it was the most fun action movie i've seen if not the best. the action is so over the top it's funny but in a good way. it's a very entertaining movie with a likeable main character. have you ever seen someone kill a man with a carrot? no? then go watch Shoot'em Up. I thought the acting was good, but it was hard to watch because of the storyline. Have you seen Nil By Mouth? That is probably my favourite Ray Winstone film about the bleak existence us English have to live through. It's a shame Tim Roth and Gary Oldman haven't directed anything else. phallus 10-29-2008, 01:56 AM I saw that a few years ago. It's a shame Tim Roth and Gary Oldman haven't directed anything else. i keep hearing about how good nil by mouth is. i'll have to download it and watch it one of these days. my favorite ray winstone film is the first one i ever saw - sexy beast. i love that film, ben kinglsey is awesome in it also, and all the rest of the actors. ray was also good in king arthur, as another horny guy who sticks his chopper in everything, even though i was too busy wanking at the keira knightly scenes Mo Leicester 11-01-2008, 12:16 AM One of Mo's favourites is Kindergarten Cop. phallus 11-08-2008, 04:37 AM i watched V for Vendetta last night. i kept expecting V to say " mr. anderson " for some reason, LOL. really good film, natalie portman made me horny with her shaved head and little orange prison dress, and i won't even get into the part where she dressed up like a schoolgirl with her hair in the braids and went to get spanked by the priest http://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/hugo-weaving.thumbnail.jpg http://a69.g.akamai.net/n/69/10688/v1/img5.allocine.fr/acmedia/rsz/434/x/x/x/medias/nmedia/18/36/31/71/18603071.jpg Mech. 11-08-2008, 05:03 AM Check out Mongol if you have a chance, pretty well made film, about Genghis Khan. phallus 11-08-2008, 05:08 AM Check out Mongol if you have a chance, pretty well made film, about Genghis Khan. any female nudity? it's always a bonus in a good film ЯiZO 11-11-2008, 08:28 PM Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/catchspider2003/English%20movies/KissKissBangBang.jpg A great film that nobody knows about, go and buy it! phallus 02-23-2009, 09:09 PM watched " gambling, gods, and lsd" - documentary, very long and thoughtful but interesting. not much sex stuff in it, though RelliK 04-02-2009, 08:45 AM TAKEN...
