I used to drink in the park when i was younger though, i also used to wear trackies and generally just act yobbishly with my mates.

I can't stand chavs and where i live it is full of little ****s.

Chavs don't wear Burberry anymore, well up north they don't anyway. Sovereign rings occasionally they do. Adidas trackies yes.

Really? This is intriguing stuff. My homey who was born in Manchester but now lives in South London where he goes to college has been putting me on to these people, he says they are like the rednecks of England. It confused me because rednecks usually don't have brand loyalty, but tend to just wear whatever is cheapest to wear.

I'm sorry, but my chavs dress in burberry hats and Adidas trackies and keep me entertained in Youtube videos. Anything else and they have to get with the stereotype or they won't be accepted.

we have the same problem in canada, we don't call them chavs, just lil wannabe gangsters who go around with 40 of their friends beating one guy up because they are so tough, and stabbing people. i hate these little ****ers. chavs are everywhere. i once went to my buddy's wedding in victoria ( BC, Canada ) and went outside around midnight or so and saw a gang of these punks walking around. they saw me and followed me into the wedding, walked around and left. had i been alone, they would have wanted a fight. wow, 20 15 year olds curbstomping one guy on his own are so tough. if i ever caught one of these kids alone i wouldn't even feel bad about beating him to death

My mates call me a chav as a pisstake, but I'm not. I don't drink in parks and beat up strangers, nor do I go on Jeremy Kyle and have 3 kids by the age of 20...

...but, my fashion sense is slightly chavvy. I wear alot of Fred Perry and Lacoste and I love my nike airs; it is understandable for people to confuse me for a chav from a distance.

It's just a word hyped up by the media in such waste papers like 'The Sun' and it's basically just a derogatory term to patronise and stereotype the working class.
