My friend from England is visiting me right now and he put me onto this Eksman guy from London. He says this kind of music is very popular in the London underground scene. I want to go to London (and this one club Fabric in particular) just to see this kind of stuff performed. It's pretty amazing stuff!

Eksman has been on form for years and still seems to be getting better all the time with his fresh lyrics. His flow and delivery are huge but his voice seems to lag every now and then. If you like his style check old Skibadee recordings from around 1998. He is still around today but nowhere near as good he used to be but still on the level of Eksman if not better back in his day.
Also check MC Fun and Evil B if you like those styles.
My favourite MC's don't tend to sound nothing like Eksman and Skiba though. They are called the Shadow Demon Crew and they tend to just freestyle and come with much more darker vibes. Ask your English friend if he has heard of Bassman and Trigga (it would probably raise a smile).
If you think DnB is just a London thing you are wrong. It is huge all over the UK especially the underground scene. Manchester and Birmingham often put on some special nights. Fabic is good tho. Room 1's sound system will knock your ears off for 10 and to be honest if you like listening to drum n bass at home on your computer speakers or whatever be prepared because if you ever go to an actual proper night here in England it will take you to another level.
Beware tho, make sure you go with heads that know how the scene works. If you go to certain drum n bass nights around London looking all bait you will get robbed.
All in all welcome to the world of dnb/jungle. I'm glad to hear you have acknowledged Englands very own music bro but you it's no way on the level it used to be.As you can tell by my username jungle/dnb is a part of my life and it's the only real genre of music us limeys can call 'ours' to be honest.
