Yeah, those would actually be my top 3 ATGs.

Do you like My Sweetheart The Drunk? Not many people seem to own it, but there's some great songs on there IMO.

Skunk Anansie set to reform

SKUNK ANANSIE are reforming.

Frontwoman SKIN and bassist CASS had hits with Weak and Charity in the mid-90s.

Cass reveals: “There will be new music and a tour at the end of the year. We’ll only do one gig in London, though, at the Shepherds Bush Empire.”

The pair were partying at London Fashion Week where Skin modelled for her pal NAOMI CAMPBELL.

I could do with hearing this from a reliable (ie. non-Murdoch) source. If it's true I'll be happy as I never got to see them live when they were together.

I like none of them, though I have not heard of The Veils or Jack off Jill.

The sort of music you list is not my thing, my favourite music at the moment is:

MGMT
Peter Bjorn and John
Lykke Li
Jamie T
The Streets

and I still nurture a profound love of Green Day from my youth.

:(

Ah, I'm not sure that they're among my top 10, only really have one(/two at a stretch) good album each. Prime Oasis were better than both, but I wanted to include a few that weren't all that well known.

Most of The Veils stuff on youtube isn't great quality, but here's one of their better songs: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KDlDQ0YkvK0

Don't worry if you dislike it, they aren't that popular so I assume most people would.

I will check out the bands on your list, as I haven't heard of a few of them.

I warn you in advance, Lykke Li is a swedish female pop singer.

I will check out those two bands though, it has just turned midnight which is my download start time.

Not sure who would like Jack Off Jill...they only made one music video so I don't think they ever had much popularity. I was introduced to them by a somewhat troubled teenage girl that I was involved with (several years ago, I'm not Luchador), and I think you need to have had a relationship with someone who uses their arm as etcher-sketch in order to relate to some of it.

For example I like this song as it reminds me of a relationship I was in with someone who was very self-destructive, and I don't think I made the situation any better: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6CNbik4YCeI

This one is a bit different in terms of style, same basic theme

most of their songs are a bit more metal than that one though.

Teenage girls usually like either very bad music or very good music, so its a 50/50 shot.

If you haven't listened to Peter Bjorn and John before, don't bother with their self titled first album its a bit...nothing. Their second, Writers Block is tremendous.

Another album you might not have listened to that is very good (and that i suspect you would like) is The Good The Bad And The Queen, which is some sort of supergroup involving Damon Albarn and some old guys. It's really a very good album.

I'll go out on a limb also and suggest 'Earth Vs' by The Wildhearts, who if you aren't familiar with are probably the best out and out rock band that the UK produced in recentish years.

Yeah, I remember that Good The Bad And The Queen getting mixed responses from friends of mine (I don't really read newspaper/magazine reviews), and also that one of their members decided to stay with that band rather than re-join The Verve when they got back together. I've been meaning to listen to them for a while.

I'm off to look for 'Earth Vs' and 'Writers Block', thanks for the tip:)
