Pride calls Bustamante to Pride GP

Just some money negotiations separate Murilo Bustamente of the final round of Pride GP, that will be held on November, in Japan. The Brazilian was called by the Pride producers to replace Hidehiko Yoshida, who got injured during the fight against Kyoshi Tamura on the GP's first round, on August. His great fight facing Quinton Jackson, just some days after being called to replace his teammate Ricardo Arona, was the key to Dream Stage Entertainment makes the invitation.

"We are still negotiating, but there is a good chance to be back on November's edition", announces Bustamante. The Murilo's return to Pride GP raises the expectation about the show, because the Brazilian can faces Quinton Jackson again, now training for it, or even fight Pride's Middleheavyweight champion Wanderlei Silva.

Im torn, How I would love Busta to be back in the tourny but at the same time I think they should bring someone else in because Busta was already elimintated. But man, I really like to see him fight.......

I would've preferred to see someone else, like Arona in the finals. But I much rather see Busta there than Tamura, Kikuta, or knowing how Pride works maybe even Takada.

True that, and the brackets just got a whole lot more even.....

I think Arona should be the one since injury cheated him out of the opening round.....then again Busta's split decision with Rampage more than earns him a call up.....Either way it's alot better than Yoshida.....I'm a big Silva fan and I honestly don't want to see him against sub par competition*Yoshida*.....

Busta or Arona would be great, I'd like to see how Vanderlei would do against either fighter. He will finally be tested either way and thats all I care about.....

Yeah, I lost a bet. If this just a rumor it still has a good chance of happening too, because Japan loves Chute Boxe Vs. BTT almost as much as they love watching there heros get knocked out.....

Either way Yoshida replaced by Busta/Arona=Best GP Finals

I don't think Silva is a good match up for Bustamante, he might get hurt.

Im not sure what you mean Bub. Busta or Silva might get hurt? If Busta can hang with Rampage I am pretty sure that he can hang with Silva.....

I think Bustamante might get hurt against Silva. Wandie's stand up might just be too much for a lighter fighter like Busta.

I thought about this too, but I think Busta can give Silva a run for his money. Busta has a solid chin, I dont think he has been KOed(Ill check and get back to you on this), and seems to do good against strikers. I think Busta should be able to get the takedown and we havnt seen Silva on the ground with a grappler like Busta before......

Man, Silva, Busta, Rampage, Liddell all in the same tourney. That's enough to make me sin my pants. I hope Yoshida pulls out.

I think it's a pretty dangerous fight for both. Silva could easily find himself tapping, but then I would be surprised to see Murilo finally KO'd. I hope this happens!!!

Busta is superman....he took that fight with little preperation and came close to subbing Rampage and took it the distance with the heavier guy.

Superman I tell you.

I doubt that PRide is gonna allowed another American fighter in the GP...If it not Yoshida, it might be someone from BTT or a japanese fighter.

No, like Bub said, it wont be another american fighter. If anyone where to replace Yoshida it would be another Jap.....
