He pointed out that doing so is a huge risk, whereas he signed Adebayor for 3.5 million and now he is a 30 million player. He thinks it amounts to the same thing.

i would not say he is the best allthough i can see exactly why you would think that cause if you took away all the money of the other clubs and gave them all the same amount Arsenal would win the league majority of the time i have no doubts about that

Yeah, I think that scenario would be pretty embarassing for everyone else. Probably their closest competition would be whoever was managed by Mark Hughes, who is also excellent at putting a team together cheaply!

It should be great for you, though assembling a team of really world class players to order is a different job than slowly forcing into top four contention using very good ones, which is what I would have thought Hughes would do very well. He seems like the type to get it right though, as long as the new guys back him and don't buy old Ronaldo etc.
