I guess they didn't have the figures for the grey areas when the chart was made. 2008 will be Clinton for the Dems but I am not sure who the Republicans will put up against her.

We don't know that. If you add up all the absentie and provisional ballots in the entire country there are literally millions of votes which haven't been counted yet. But of course the Republicans don't care. this is a democracy where very vote is supposed to count. If they were on the short end of the vote you know damn well they would insist on waiting as long as it took for every ballot to be counted. Just another example of hypocrisy at its finest.

I don't need luck with it. It is what it is. kerry conceded and it's over. I just feel that by principal every vote should be counted, that's all. Also, it would be nice to have more faith that the vote is being taken and counted accurately. 50% of Americans don't have faith that the vote is legitimate. that's pretty appalling. And with the electronic voting we have now the possibilty of fraud is multiplied even more. Of course this isn't anything new. In the old days people would vote dozens of times and yes even the dead would somehow come back to life and vote. But in this day and age it's a shame that we can't find a way to ensure honesty and integrity in our electoral system.
