Baby Joe scored a first round KO (1:37). Judging by his performance tonight I say Baby Joe should take on Byrd.
Finally...a positive representative from my hometown.

No, its the right forum. Standup fighting is training.
And I saw that fight. Mesi should fight a top 10 guy and prove he is legit. I'll give him one thing though, he has style

Good knockout, but I'm still not convinced that he's deserving of a top 10 ranking. Mesi has good power, that's not debatable at all, but he's not that quick and his punches tend to be a bit wide. Someone with good boxing skills, Fres Oquendo, Byrd or even Rahman, would be able to expose that.
Also, I don't buy that Williamson was a legit threat to Mesi. He was hand-picked, and I don't care what Mesi's camp says. Williamson is not good at all. Sure, he's got some power, but he's a sloppy, amateurish boxer with no defense at all. His guard sucks big time and he didn't know what to do at all when he got hurt.
My wish list for Mesi is that he gets taken out of his comfort zone (Buffalo) and put into a neutral ring (Vegas, maybe) with a guy that is a LEGITIMATE threat. Guinn might be the guy to do it, or maybe some of the guys mentioned above. He beats any of those guys, then I'd buy the hype.

I like what I see of Mesi so far, but he needs to fight some top contenders and then I will be convinced he is the real deal
