Japan knows whats good for them so when the US asks them to jump they say how high.

Naw in all seriousness, Japan is pretty much with the program these days, particularly in regard to politics (apart from permitting whaling).

North Korea just likes to jump up and down and make lots of noise. If they did anything to Japan, I would bet the US would step in no time. You don't see North Korea threatening the US overtly do you?

Last I read they named a bunch of countries as being hostile, not the least of which was Australia, because they felt we were conducting activities that were a prelude to war. Nevermind it was a training excuse to try and stop smugglers getting into countries in the Asia-Pac region. Can't have Koreans letting logic get in the way of a good yarn..... no sir....
