Any advice for:

a) hitting people who have an unnatural ability of staying just outside of range no matter what you do.

b) boxing like the numbnut i'm trying to hit in point a)

I have the same problem, It's so hard for me to connect right against tall guys that I end up going to the body 80% of the time.

Yeah, I know that hey. I know I don't have enough years left in me to achieve what this guy has but if I get half way there I'll have a title for sure. I just wanna stop in the middle of sparring and watch the dude box lol.

I don't think there's any good way to really do it. Maybe improving your step in speed or stepping in deeper. It's probably just one of the tons of reasons why guys with more height/body size at a lower weight do well.

I've GOT the range on this guy! That's the thing. Haaaaaa. He's just talented and the same with everyone.

if he moves away, you gotta step it up. use your jab as your range finder, if you find that hes taking advantage of your jabs then you just have to be quick than him and get an angle on him.

Thats my whole game, staying at a range where you think you can hit me, but you can't.

There isn't really much you can do. If you try and close range, they will just step back and create more space.

You have to either, create range of your own, and force them to come to you, or you can pressure them to the ropes.

My personal favorite is the Roy Jones solution. Just simply jump at them. Its so unorthodox that nobody EVER knows how to react. The first thing that goes through their mind is "is this fool going to tackle me?"

If you try and make it a leaping punch, you will fail. You have to jump at them with the sole intent of closing distance and catching them off guard. Keep your hands up, and when you land, you will most likely find your opponent either frozen, or with their hands up, look for what is open, and take it.
