is the LH title fight over the HW title fight. Hopefully this sets a precedent and the main event and big bucks go to the best fighters as opposed to the biggest fighters. That's always annoyed me.

View Full Version : I'm glad that the REAL main event Bluecifer 09-24-2003, 05:33 PM is the LH title fight over the HW title fight. Hopefully this sets a precedent and the main event and big bucks go to the best fighters as opposed to the biggest fighters. That's always annoyed me. mmafanman 09-24-2003, 06:13 PM Agreed. I know very few will have come to Vegas on Friday night just to watch Tim Sylvia beat the crap out of Gan McGee. wondermut 09-24-2003, 06:34 PM Agreed! DragonZero 09-24-2003, 07:36 PM good post man ...agreed Fallout 09-24-2003, 07:58 PM Well, if it was Syilva vs a heavyweight that actually had a chance it might be a different story mmafanman 09-25-2003, 02:34 PM Originally posted by Creed Well, if it was Syilva vs a heavyweight that actually had a chance it might be a different story Unless Pride sends some of their best heavyweights here, I really don't see anyone in the UFC who can give Sylvia real problems. badguy 09-25-2003, 06:25 PM Would Sylvia Vs Cro Cop be the main event or Tito Vs Randy Bluecifer 09-25-2003, 06:36 PM I think I'd rather watch Bustamante vs. A healthy Sakuraba than Sylvia vs. Cro cop, though I'd like that too. I just prefer watching sheer skill over sheer size. If the 2 biggest guys were also the most skilled, I don't have a problem with it, I just hate when some of the best fighters make less than their lesser skilled but bigger counterparts. Like I said, the big bucks and main event should go to the BEST fighters and weight should not be a factor. Fallout 09-25-2003, 08:27 PM The guys at the smaller weights are almost always more skilled. Look at boxing. The best weight divison in boxing is 140 lbs |
