TRAVI$ 09-01-2008, 05:39 PM "Anyone else feel Man City are funding Real Madrid's offer for Ronaldo in Jan or next summer? Hopefully reports are true that Madrid are after Villa and so will be spending Robinho's money straight off." Stolen Hub Cap on 606 This is a good point. T.I.P. 09-01-2008, 05:39 PM **** Berbatov and **** United. Its a great signing for us. And from under the noses of them cunts at city. They got robinho who I would have anyday of Berbatov though. No chance Ronaldo will stay until next summer. United never deal in January. The Wire 09-01-2008, 05:43 PM No chance Ronaldo will stay until next summer. United never deal in January. Why the hell would you be happy about getting Berbatov? He's one of the most over rated players in the premiership, a 20 million pound player at best. If I were you I'd have stepped back, laughed a bit and let City waste their money. T.I.P. 09-01-2008, 05:48 PM Why the hell would you be happy about getting Berbatov? We have no strikers at all. Tevez and Rooney play off the front man. We have no front target men at all. He is a good player and will only help us. He is better than that piece of **** Saha who cant finish his dinner. Spambo boy 09-01-2008, 05:57 PM Berbatov is ****, I hope he has a strop at fergie and refuses to play. Man u fans make me laugh, they were all saying sack fergie if we don't sign berbatov on SSN this afternoon. They'll all be city supporters in a couple of years when they win the league. He supports them so iI got brought up doing so. No one on sky sports news was saying that lol. Maybe text ins. But, they only read out the aubsurd comments anyways. But, I give credit to SSN they said at 10 this morning that Berbatov was at Carrington. Awesome call. ******? I dont wish I am black. I am white. Maybe you dont understand the word at all. Chubby. Maybe you dont understand the word at all. Chubby. People on 5live were saying it also. Fair weather fans, none of them been to a game. Berbatov was still in london until lunchtime, Fergie went to meet him at the airport. Nicky_Hatton 09-01-2008, 06:21 PM I thought p4p was banned? :-S Spambo boy 09-01-2008, 06:21 PM I thought p4p was banned? :-S SSHH it's a secret. Addition 09-01-2008, 06:23 PM **** and I wanted City to Hijack there bid. But then again this is the 2nd time Spurs have ripped off Utd. Berbs is worth all the trouble. £30million, bollocks to that. I'd rather have ribenio Nicky_Hatton 09-01-2008, 06:39 PM 18m Carrick and now 30m Berb, bet the bank manager's laughing to the bank. T.I.P. 09-01-2008, 07:16 PM 18m Carrick and now 30m Berb, bet the bank manager's laughing to the bank. 30m for Keane is a lot worse. Nicky_Hatton 09-01-2008, 07:25 PM 30m for Keane is a lot worse. Yere that's probably the worse but, as much as I love carrick 18m a bit pricey, and Berbatov can **** off for 30m. T.I.P. 09-01-2008, 07:27 PM Yere that's probably the worse but, as much as I love carrick 18m a bit pricey, and Berbatov can **** off for 30m. I would prefer Robinho easily over him. But, Fergie will make sure hes a success. As soon as Utd or Chelsea come sniffing around Robinho next season he will sulk and go for cheap again. Carrick is ****. Hargreaves and Anderson is the future of Utd. Nicky_Hatton 09-01-2008, 07:38 PM I would prefer Robinho easily over him. But, Fergie will make sure hes a success. As soon as Utd or Chelsea come sniffing around Robinho next season he will sulk and go for cheap again. Carrick is ****. Hargreaves and Anderson is the future of Utd. Robinho is light weight pal, don't believe the hype. Not as good as any player of the previous generation of Brazillians. Hargreaves is good on his day at DM, but he seems to be injured more than Harry Kewell nowadays, not a very good sign for a football in their "prime." Anderson, says it all when he's listed by most as a AMC , yet plays dm or mc at most. Granted he has a high work rate, and good stamina, tackling, determination etc. Just I haven't seen any of this attacking prowess yet, other than some runs. Carrick is far from ****, shame on you. Addition 09-01-2008, 07:52 PM Robinho is a quality player but a huge risk for the Premier League especially at that price as Nicky Hatton said he's a lightweight and could easily get brushed off the ball with ease. The Wire 09-01-2008, 07:55 PM Robinho is a quality player but a huge risk for the Premier League especially at that price as Nicky Hatton said he's a lightweight and could easily get brushed off the ball with ease. You'd think that about Torres and Henry though. He's quick and skillful, a huge coup for Citeh. Nicky_Hatton 09-01-2008, 07:58 PM Robinho is a quality player but a huge risk for the Premier League especially at that price as Nicky Hatton said he's a lightweight and could easily get brushed off the ball with ease. I love Brazillian footballers, but have any of you seen Lucas against Aston villa or lucas in general? Far to easy to brush off, and not much physical presence. I'm not sure if they're similar sizes or not. But just giving an example, again probably not the best since lucas is a dm. Where does Robinho actually play, I thought he was a left winger / striker, with the later being his most dominant position? I hope he does well, but I can't help but feeling slightly that this situation is too surreal. I think the premier league is becoming a joke, and English football in general. squealpiggy 09-01-2008, 08:01 PM He'll work well with Jo as a second striker, picking up the pieces with Jo as a target man. I can see where he fits in. City have a pretty strong squad right now, at least as strong as United's last season. The Iron Man 09-01-2008, 08:05 PM They can have him, after all his sulking im happy to be rid of him. Not a professional at all, he wont score any more goals for them than he did for us. Only thing im annoyed about is that we are going to let the official complaints go. City have come on leaps and bounds in terms of players brought this season, should be exciting. I just think this whole money thing is getting beyond a joke. Sure I don't want an oligopoly, but this thing on the whole is bad for British football. Addition 09-01-2008, 08:17 PM You'd think that about Torres and Henry though. He's quick and skillful, a huge coup for Citeh. No not really, Torres is a big fella with a decent build. The thing was whether he'd score the goals or not. Henry was a bit unknown so was a bit of a risk but Robinho is totally different. Huge money spent (record fee if I remember correctly) but with the physical nature of the Premier League it's going to be tough for him. LOL exactly, The wire chats **** again. I hope Robinho does well though. squealpiggy 09-01-2008, 08:22 PM **** mate, forget you're a city fan, I can't imagine the buzz you're feeling now, I haven't felt that since we secured John Hartson back in the day LOL. Sure I don't want an oligopoly, but this thing on the whole is bad for British football. Honestly it just doesn't feel right. City have always been something of a hand-me-down team so it makes a real change to finally have a bit of firepower in the transfer market. Robinho is now our record signing but we may beat that record in January. Having said that I think it was a bigger coup to keep a hold of Hart, Richards, Dunne, Ireland and Johnson than it is to get a hold of a big name Brazilian. **** we've had the scum, Liverpool, spurs, Chelski and Pompey after that bunch. You mean; always been in United's shadow. All I can tell you is that United for this season at least have peaked, and will get worse, despite the berb signing, whereas city are on the up and up. I thought city fans didn;t rate Dunne that much. I mean they see him as solid, but not great. squealpiggy 09-01-2008, 09:00 PM You mean; always been in United's shadow. I thought city fans didn;t rate Dunne that much. I mean they see him as solid, but not great. Been in United's shadow for the last 30 years maybe. They've long been the better brand but they didn't have a reasonable shout at being the better team overall until Fergie's second season. I remember people burning their scarves over United's piss poor results in the 80s. Ferguson is a cunt but he's a very good manager. Winning the league last season is probably his best achievement because he did it with a pretty poor squad. I mean he was playing Chris Eagles for ****s sake. Dunne has been City's best player since he showed up pissed for training and got his arse kicked by Keegan. Consistent and dependable his experience works very well with the raw athleticism of Richards. City will probably have a formidable defence with Vincent Kompany playing a holding midfield role. I was concerned that Hughes was a slightly mediocre choice for manager but he has shown he really knows how to work the transfer market in a way that nobody ever has in City's history. |
