i broke my left hand hitting the heavy bag on monday

im somewhat depressed bc i cant train and day to day life with one hand is annoying as hell

how can i stay in shape for the month i will be in this cast?

the obvious answer is to run, but i feel like running alone isnt enough. i lift, do circuits, run, and train. now i can only run.

what do u guys think. how do most deal with this problem?

One handed push ups.

One handed pull-ups too :boxing:

How'd you break it on the heavy bag though?

they felt like about 12 oz, im not sure though. yall are probably gonna call me stupid the way i broke it....

gym was closin and i was getting ready to leave. i had already taken off my wraps but my coach wanted to show me one last thing. in a hurry he grabbed me some loaner gloves and i put em on. i was doing jab cross uppercut to the body.

as you may have guessed it was the upper to the body that did it.

of course i was hesitant to hit the bag without my hands wrapped and with ****ty gloves... but who am i to question my coach... i just did what he told me to do.

Go running and keep shadow boxing.

Mix in some swimming if you can, and work on your technique while shadow boxing.

On a side note, it won’t help you now but next time if you are in that situation don’t try to kill the heavy bag. Just go ¼ speed in order to get your technique down.
