Welcome Back-decent beat, terrible lyrics "damn mr. attitude/why you got an attitude". Is he serious? 2

By The Way-forgettable beat, one of the worst hooks I've ever heard in my life. boring lyrics. 2

Crazy world-ok beat, tolerable song, not keeping it though. 3

What They Want-tolerable beat, Jeezy is really average at rapping. Boring song 2.5

Amazin-wack beat, them repetitive high hats are getting.....repetitive. I chuckled at the "eyes so low I look like an asian", 2.5

Hustlaz Ambition-ok beat, best one on the album so far. rest of the song is stale. 2.5

Who dat-predictable beat, again, lyrically not as boring as most of the other songs. 2

Don't you know-you know, for fans of rappers like jeezy that hate on Nas for having subpar hooks, this album is ABSOLUTELY full of them. more repetitive high hats. 2

Circulate-nice beat, TERRIBLE lyrics. ****, why does he always say "yeah i said 'insert line'"? It's never nice or good. 2.5

Word Play-decent beat, tolerable song, not bad. another wack hook. 3

Vacation-another-ok beat, tolerable. hook is annoying, but not as bad as most others on here so far. 3

Everything-decent song, best on the album, until boosie gets on. 3

Takin it there-average rap song. repetitive beat, decent hook, i guess. 2.5

Put on-terrible lyrics. kanye didn't produce this, did he? he at least did a decent job at copying the beats jeezy apparently likes. Kanye with the voice box=me with an upset stomach. 2.5

overall, the beats are too repetitive, and jeezy isn't good enough at rhyming to keep my attention.

I think Paper Trail is far and beyond better than The Recession, but both are easily better than The Carter III.

Give it a chance and disect the lyrics....it's a very lyrical piece of work right there. Jack I'm curious what do you think of Paper Trail? I know you know your music and can appreciate the step up in lyrics from his last album.

I like it over most of the albums so far this year.

I like it over most of the albums so far this year.I do to man I just don't understand the hate....or are people really that different on what they think is good music. I feel like I'm pretty open to all types of music and regardless of what coast it comes from if it sounds good I'll listen to it. I think some people go into it with their mind made up that their not going to like it and that's it.

I kept about 4 or 5 songs from the album. It's the best the south has offered this year, that's for sure.

I'd give it a 3.5-4. It's not bad, I wouldn't buy it, but it's better than almost every other mainstream hip hop album release this year.
