handjobs4dollars 09-18-2003, 12:38 PM Man I wanted newton vs. sakurai so much....
Squezze 09-18-2003, 02:19 PM There's definitly gonna be more than 5 fights. I doubt the card is actually "finalized" yet.
DragonZero 09-18-2003, 03:53 PM what happen to randleman? i thought he was fighting
Mr. Beelzebub 09-18-2003, 04:15 PM I don't think that is the final card yet, There are rumors out there that Randleman and Fedor's brother might be in the card.
mmafanman 09-18-2003, 06:23 PM Newton vs. Renzo...
The Ronin owns
Ryan and Ralph are my favorite gracies I hope they both do well.
More info from PrideFC.....
BUSHIDO: Carlos Newton vs Renzo Gracie 9/18/2003
As part of "Team Japan versus the Gracie Family," Dream Stage Entertainment's inaugural "Bushido" show will feature Carlos "The Ronin" Newton versus Renzo Gracie.
Though Newton is a citizen of Canada, his popularity and familiarity with the Japanese fans led to his joining of Team Japan in their quest to defeat the Gracie Family.
Under the guidance of coach Royce Gracie, Team Gracie will take on a line-up of some of Japan's elite mixed martial artists.
FIGHTCARD:
Renzo Gracie vs. Carlos Newton
Ryan Gracie vs. Kazuhiro Hamanaka
Rodrigo Gracie vs. Daiju Takase
Daniel Gracie vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura
Ralph Gracie vs. Dokonjonosuke Mishima
(Card Subject to Change)
The live event is scheduled for October 5, 2003 from the Saitama Super Arena in Japan and a total of 7-8 matches overall are expected.
Bushido will be available on U.S. pay per view (delay) on December 21, 2003 at a special reduced rate of $19.95.
Don't miss the show!
WOW.....we get to wait 2 months before Bushido airs in the US....yay *kicks his dog*

realkaps 09-19-2003, 12:11 PM When you do that give credit too MMAweekly or whatever site you get your info from......
I did.....I just forgot the .com.....it was from PrideFC.com
Mr. Beelzebub 09-19-2003, 02:30 PM ban him.
mmafanman 09-19-2003, 04:34 PM Hamanaka vs. Ryan will be interesting....slight edge to Ryan because of his experience, although Hamanaka is probably the stronger grappler of the two. Ryan wins by sub.
Takase vs. Rodrigo is a toss-up. Rodrigo is ****ing super-slick on the ground, and his stand-up isn't as bad as well. But Takase just came off the dominating win over Anderson Silva, so....I'll go with Takase by decision.
Nakamura vs. Gracie...I'll go with Nakamura. Nakamura gave Rogerio a surprisingly tough fight in Pride 25. He showed a lot of grappling skills and didn't look like a newbie at all in that fight, which was the first of his career. He gassed near the end, and Rogerio was able to sub him. I think he'll come into this one with better conditioning. He'll win by decision.
Ralph vs. Mishima...Ralph is undefeated, but he hasn't fought the kind of competition that Mishima has. He's ****ing really good on the ground as well, so I'll have to go with Mishima by decision.

ok i see that sounds intersting can't wait too see what happens
Mr. Beelzebub 09-22-2003, 12:29 PM These card is gonna have 1 or 2 more matches. In www.portaldovaletudo.com.br they're saying that "Shogun" Rua might be fighting Randleman and Assuerio Silva might fight Fedor's brother, Alexander.
realkaps 09-22-2003, 02:07 PM Not a good fight for Shogun.....
Well.....here's some more confirmed matches.....
Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua vs. Akira Shoji
Assuerio Silva vs. Alexander Emelianenko
Sergei Kharitonov vs. jason Nobunaga(x k-1 fighter)
Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipovic vs. TBA (possibly against Kevin Randleman, Ikuhusa Minowa, or Norihisa Yamamoto)
mmafanman 09-24-2003, 06:05 PM Shoji's got some good hands, but Rua should be able to take him down and pound out a victory.
Never seen Fedor's brother before, but if he's half as good as him, Silva's in some deep ****.
I feel bad for anybody facing CroCop nowadays, especially if it is Randleman. Very, very bad match-up for Kevin.
