Georges St Pierre was supposedly recently interviewed on MMAweekly radio and did a rap song on the program about Pete Spratt. It appears that it was not St Pierre that made the call. St Pierre was scheduled to fight Spratt on the Sept 6th TKO 13 card but was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury. He was amicable and quiet at the show and seemed to get along well with Spratt so it was an unusual turn of events that he would go on a radio show and rap negatively about Spratt when he can barely speak any English. It appears that the caller on the MMA weekly show was not George St Pierre at all. A prank caller called in and pretended to be the injured St Pierre as some sort of joke. It does not look like the culprit will be caught at this time, and St Pierre’s manager was obviously upset about the incident.

It looks like TKO 13 was a success and the next show is already in the works. The event’s promoter Stephane Patry has confirmed with MMARR’s “Sushiboy” that the next installment will not take place in Montreal. The next TKO event will take place in Victoriaville Quebec, which is about an hour or so out of Montreal. The date is looking like November 29th, 2003 and a solid card looks to be in the works.

Speaking of George St Pierre it appears he is out of his fight in the M-1 organization in Russia. He confirmed with MMARR that his injury will keep him out of his bout in Russia. His fellow team mate Steve Vigneault may also be out of the M-1 card. It appears that he took a lot of damage in his fight with Pierson and may not compete in his upcoming bout in M-1 against UFC veteran Amar Suloev.

I have been in contact with the manager of “Team Extreme” and it looks like Monte Cox will again have his fighters in the TKO organization. Monte Cox had a lot of his fighters in the final UCC event UCC 12 and then none in the TKO 13 event. It looks like they have worked out the problems and we could see some of Cox’s guys in the TKO once again. Names like Anthony Fryklund, Jason Black, Justin Eilers ( who recently lost a controversial decision to Cabbage at Superbrawl 30) and even Travis Wiuff have been tossed around and any or all of those fighters may make their way out to TKO 14.

Sven Bean and the boys of Denver may be getting back into the TKO event as well. As everyone already knows, Pete Spratt did not fight at TKO 13 due to the fact that St Pierre injured his leg and was unable to compete. Names like Duane Ludwig, Spratt Vs St Pierre again, and even the name of UFC veteran Pat Smith is being bantered back and forth. Pat hasn’t competed in a long time but his comeback may begin in Victoriaville Quebec at TKO 14.

There has been a guy impersonating alot of people lately in Ontario and Quebec. He called Bud Selig (commissoner of baseball) and pretended to be the Prime Minister and wanted to talk about the Expos. He is getting air time on sportsnews up here so I expect things like this to continue.
