View Full Version : Of the Olympic fighters you've who will make a good pro?
sparked_85 08-21-2008, 07:12 PM I think the Irish Sutherland who is taking on DeGale will be a good pro. Just seems like Arthur Abraham part two.
Out of the Brits I don't think any of the medalists will be great pro's. DeGale is talented but he's from Hammersmith nothing good ever came out of hammersmith apart from Palais and they shut that down.
Clegg 08-21-2008, 07:28 PM You seen Kenny Egan?
He's the best that I've watched so far, but I think Price has a good shot at success due to his size and power. He's also got good speed for such a big guy.

yeah the Irish team looks good regarding the pro's. The brits all seem to have specialised amateur styles.
Oriachim 08-21-2008, 07:45 PM Billy Joe Saunders has got such a good pro style, the ABA banned him and Frank Warren is trying to sign him lol.
Also Degale kinda reminds me of Calzaghe because of his slappish style.
Clegg 08-21-2008, 07:53 PM Yeah it's odd that they have banned Saunders in the middle of the Olympics, it may harm the rest of the team by putting them off their game a bit.
Apparently he did something 'unprofessional' with a French woman or something?
Oriachim 08-21-2008, 08:19 PM He said he hasn't got a clue what they're on about. (he might be lieing to save his relationship with his RL missus though). But I think its a scheme by frank warren and the aba to force billy to turn pro.
ps: he lost the olympics to a cuban then the aba banned him. (shortly after warren admitted he wants him to turn pro).
sparked_85 08-21-2008, 09:09 PM Lewd behaviour???????
does that mean he got his willy out?
CUBASERE 08-22-2008, 12:39 AM Vasyl Lomachenko, Arturo Santos.
Lenny McLean 08-22-2008, 01:14 AM I think the pikey was fondling a semi naked french bird. LOl, in his defence he said he doesn't even have a pc or know how to use one. Pikey bum!
TBH he is the only young young one from team who has a good style to develop into a good pro. He had bad luck in the draw and I think he is more talented than Gavin too who is well experienced.
From the rest of the fighters I think India's Kumar's are OK. Jitender won a medal but I think Anil Kumar should head of to the Ingle's in Wincobank. The chinese and thai fighters also look OK for the pro's where quality is needed in lower divisions.
Freedom. 08-22-2008, 05:47 PM Vasyl Lomachenko, Rakhim Chakhkiev and Kenny Egan
black.ink 08-22-2008, 06:02 PM Akhil Kumar of India has a Pro style of fighting. A brawler with low hands, good power and highly skilled. Low hands affected him in the last 8 although some of the shots he was receiving were never cleanly hit.
dfwtx 08-22-2008, 06:06 PM Vasyl Lomanchenko and Demetrius Andrade
Ace Dutrey 08-23-2008, 06:43 AM Sadam Ali of brooklyn is always exciting to watch
Muttley85 08-23-2008, 08:41 AM I think the Irish Sutherland who is taking on DeGale will be a good pro. Just seems like Arthur Abraham part two.

Joe Calzaghe and Frank Bruno where both born in Hammersmith. I think George Groves will make a better pro than DeGale, he had the better in the head to head between them and has the much more pro-friendly style.
Lomachenko really looks the part.
Oriachim 08-23-2008, 10:14 AM When the cuban james degale was boxing wanted to play rough, dunno why he wasn't disqualified, James also decided to play rough. I think James degale has got a massive chance as a pro fighter, kinda reminds me of joe Calzaghe due to the occaisonal slap he does.

coming up through the amatuers and in his early pro career Calzaghe was a very aggressive fighter. only one of his fights prior to the eubank fight went the distance, dont see much in common.
sparked_85 08-23-2008, 10:24 AM Twas a joke about Hammersmith, I was born there, wasn't everyone born in London, haha.
DeGale is Calzaghesque for sure. Pretty sure Lomashenko is a P4Per of the future he can do it all.
